Fox News Weatherman Attacked on NYC Subway

-

meteorologist Adam Klotz was attacked by a group of teens in the early hours of Sunday while riding the New York subway.

Klotz was on his way home after watching the Giants-Eagles NFL playoff game at a Manhattan bar shortly before he noticed a group of teens harassing an “older gentleman,” and had set his hair on fire with what was presumably a marijuana joint.

In an Instagram video, Klotz said he intervened to protect the older man and that's when the group turned their focus on him and began the brutal attack before fleeing at the 18th Street station in the Chelsea neighborhood.

“I was like, ‘Yo, guys, cut that out.' And they decided, ‘All right, if he's not going to get it, you're going to get it.' And, boy, did they give it to me,” Klotz said.

During an interview with “Fox & Friends” Klotz noted that he attempted to separate himself from the situation but the group followed him to another train car.

“I get off that train after taking a punch,” Klotz said. “The whole group, the doors open again at another stop, the whole group just comes and bum rushes me, and suddenly I'm like, on the ground. I'm getting kicked in the side. I'm getting wailed on.

“They were trying to knock me out, and then once you're unconscious, and you're getting punched like there's no defense, so I was just doing my absolute best to cover my head,” he continued.

“So I kind of get knocked out, and now my side is black and blue. My knee, I can hardly bend because I was getting kicked and punched.”

“What I want is some sort of change,” Klotz said. “I don't want this to happen to somebody else, and I don't think necessarily just these kids getting in trouble, like, where's the structural things? Like, put some cops down there.”

Klotz was treated at a local hospital for his injuries and the three members of the group were eventually apprehended by the cops. However, the group was released into parental custody and no charges were pressed due to their ages.

Despite the shocking attack, Klotz has remained in good spirits and is expected to make a full recovery.

  1. The kids who did this should receive the same brutal beat down they gave Adam. Ridiculous that they aren’t going to be charged with a crime because of their age. Without serious consequences they’ll be emboldened to do more of this. It’s beyond time for some actual law and order.

  2. There is a phrase for what Klotz did and it isn’t “hero”. Punching bag is much more descriptive of what he did. A hero would call out the race and/or ethnicity of the thugs. Do something to prevent gangs like this from hurting other innocent citizens and be happy they didn’t stab or shoot you. Laying on the ground in a fetal position while a gang puts the boots to you is not heroic at all. What race were they Klotz?

  3. The teens will now brag about how they got away with it, and do something more violent. Of course, even if they kill next time, they’ll be on the street in an hour.
There is a very insidious element of the NY no bail law. Suspects released are provided copies of the documents related to their arrest: all police reports and witness statements, which include police officers full names and badge numbers, and full name, address and phone number of the person they assaulted.

  4. Sadly this is no surprise. NYC and all other major cities have been hijacked by criminals. This happens whenever Democrats have complete control.

  5. What a fabulously secure man: “while the headline I just read, “viciously beaten by teens,” is true, it’s doing way more damage to my ego than the physical beating did” The entire way Mr. Klotz responded to these thugs shows him to be a man I’d be happy to know.

  6. From what I gathered in Adam’s description of what occurred on Fox and Friends this morning, he didn’t try to defend himself, but instead just “curled up” and took the beating. I’m old, but you can bet I’d be trying my best to send at least one of the scum to the hospital.

  7. Next time call a Social Worker, I hear they are a great alternative to any PD. New York gets what they vote for and if they don’t want the cream of the crop they get Hochul & Adam’s……. see what I mean?

  8. If they’re old enough to ride the subway without supervision, they’re old enough to be punished for their crime! Just letting them go is ridiculous.
