During an appearance on MSNBC, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison presented a curious solution to dealing with rising crime, particularly vehicle thefts.
According to Ellison, it's the auto manufacturers that are to blame for enticing thefts by making their cars “too easy to steal.”
Ellison told MSNBC that his office was investigating two automakers because their cars “are dramatically too easy to steal for young people.”
Minnesota ranks 20th highest nationwide in property crime, and 28% of Minnesotans reported that they had personally experienced property crime according to Safewise – up 17% from the previous year.
