Republican Senator Hits Back After Russia Issues Arrest Warrant

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., says “bring it on.”

Hours after Russia issued an arrest warrant for the Republican Senator he pushed back against the threat.

On Monday, issued an arrest warrant after the release of an edited video that made it appear the lawmaker was celebrating the ' spending money on the killing of Russians in Ukraine.

“Here's an offer to my Russian ‘friends' who want to arrest and try me for calling out the Putin regime as being war criminals: I will submit to jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court if you do,” Graham said Monday.

“Come and make your best case. See you in The Hague!” he added.

The senator's office also released an additional statement on the matter:

“I will wear the arrest warrant issued by Putin's corrupt and immoral government as a Badge of Honor,” the senator said in a statement on Monday. “To know that my commitment to has drawn the ire of Putin's regime brings me immense joy. I will continue to stand with and for Ukraine's freedom until every Russian soldier is expelled from Ukrainian territory.”

An edited video containing footage of the U.S. Senator was released by Ukraine's presidential office. In the video, Graham is seen meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last week. It was edited to show Graham saying, “the Russians are dying,” and then describing how U.S. military aid to Ukraine is “the best money we've ever spent.”

However, A longer video published by Reuters shows Graham making those comments in reverse order and not directly connecting them as the original clip had suggested.

  2. Good for him! Maybe he should do the same for Putin. File through the world court naming Putin as a war criminal, which of course he is. Now the US and NATO need to give Ukraine the OK to carry the fight to the Russian military, regardless of where they are located. They better do something or the Russian bombs and missiles will eventually destroy every building in the country. What’s going to happen when one of those Russian missiles hits our embassy and kills people?
