A woke judge is facing intense backlash today for releasing a teenager on bail after he allegedly fired an AR-15 26 times at a car full of people.
Judge Lloyd U. Nolan Jr. granted 18-year-old Amonte Moody pretrial release despite acknowledging that the teen's actions could have resulted in someone's death.
The incident occurred on April 22 when Moody allegedly fired shots at an SUV on Independence Avenue in the District of Columbia.

Moody's public defender requested he be released with GPS monitoring and claimed the teen had a supportive family that would keep track of him before his trial.
Prosecutors argued that Moody had access to this supportive family prior to his alleged shooting spree, and Nolan appeared to agree.
“For something to escalate to the point where you feel you need to go into the middle of the street and let off 26 shots, I don't know what set of circumstances, short of incarceration, I can find,” Nolan said.
Moody faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, among other charges. Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington requested an emergency hearing for May 22 to potentially reverse the judge's decision.
“The government presented evidence establishing probable cause that the defendant fired an AR-15 weapon approximately 26 times at a car driving away on a public street in the 1700 block of Independence Ave SE then disassembled the firearm and hid it away in a ceiling,” they wrote.
“Despite the egregiousness of this conduct, the strength of the case, including video evidence depicting it and two identifications of the defendant as the shooter, and the statutory presumption in favor of detention pending trial, the Magistrate Judge released the defendant.”
Fox News Digital reviewed Nolan's social media profile before it was made private. This included support for progressive causes and a post championing his donation to Gideon's Promise, a left-wing nonprofit founded through George Soros' Open Society Foundation. On its website, the organization states its purpose as transforming “the criminal justice system by building a movement of public defenders who provide equal justice for marginalized communities.”
