ANALYSIS – Just come on in! If you are a regular reader of my American Liberty Defense Newsletter, or watch conservative media regularly, you should be acutely aware of threats posed by our porous southern border thanks to Joe Biden and the Democrats.
You might even be aware of the large number of undocumented immigrants coming here from countries such as Iran, Russia and, especially our archrival, China.
Yes, Chinese nationals are the fastest growing group trying to cross illegally into the U.S. from Mexico. And that should be a major concern.
Sadly, the rest of the country has, for the most part, has remained blissfully ignorant of this crisis thanks to the left's willfully ignoring the crisis or spinning it away.
That began to change a bit last year after Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis started shipping busloads of tens of thousands of migrants to big Democrat sanctuary cities like Washington D.C., New York City and Chicago.
As those Democrat-run cities began feeling the pain of being overwhelmed, their leaders began whining publicly about Biden's failed policies.
But now, as Biden, under relentless GOP pressure, is finally admitting there is a border crisis and is pushing for a compromise border bill with Republicans, the establishment media may be more thorough reporting from the border.
Well, at least some.
A few outlets are even showing illegal border crossings.
CBS News just dedicated a segment of “60 Minutes” to the “large groups” of Chinese migrants, coming through giant holes in our southern border.
As Mediaite reported, the segment was filed by CBS correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi, who opened the piece by reporting:
The number of migrants arriving at the southern border is unprecedented. Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection recorded two-and-a-half million instances of detaining or turning away people attempting to cross into the United States from Mexico.
So what's the fastest growing group among them? Chinese migrants. Yes, you heard that right…Chinese. We saw large groups, including many from the middle class, come through a 4-foot gap at the end of a border fence 60 miles east of San Diego.
Mediaite added:
A steady flow of what appears to be mostly Chinese nationals are shown walking through a clear gap in the border wall, with useless barbed wire fencing haven being pushed aside [that's likely NOT the razor wire barrier erected by the Texas National Guard]. At one point, cameras capture an armed Border Patrol agent standing just 25 feet away who did nothing to deter the illegal entry.
CBS News noted:
One point of entry is a 4-foot gap at the end of a border fence 60 miles east of San Diego. Smugglers in SUVs race along the border fence and drop migrants off near the gap. Over four days, “60 Minutes” witnessed nearly 600 migrants — adults and children — pass through the gap and onto U.S. soil, unchecked.
The outlet added:
The migrants knew about the hole because of TikTok. Posts on the app reviewed by “60 Minutes” featured step-by-step instructions for hiring smugglers and detailed directions to the border gap. Once through the hole, the migrants walk about half a mile down a dusty road and wait in line for U.S. Border Patrol to arrive so they can surrender.
But they don't all passively surrender. Many (known as “gotaways”) simply proceed on their way.
Of course, many will spin the massive influx of unvetted foreigners as good people just wanting “freedom.” And that may be true for a lot of them.
But we have no idea since a gigantic number gets through totally unchecked and unvetted. And many are single, unaccompanied military-age males.
According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data, at least 36,000 Chinese have been ordered by U.S. immigration courts to leave the country, but China often refuses to take them back and the U.S. can't force China to do so.
How many more do we need before we realize there is a big potential threat growing inside our country from China?
