Did Trump Ally Roger Stone Threaten To Assassinate Democrat Reps?

-

ANALYSIS – Hoax or real threat? Prior to the 2020 election, Trump ally was supposedly recorded floating the idea to assassinate two sitting U.S. congressmen, left-wing Democrats and .

The remarks and “recording” were reported by Mediate using unnamed sources. The authenticity of the recording has not been independently verified.

Both Nadler and Swalwell serve on the House Judiciary Committee and are ardent partisans and opponents of former president . Swalwell has been linked to a communist Chinese spy, and Nadler is well known for his past extreme weight and girth.

The foppish Stone reportedly made the threats to his associate Sal Greco at the Caffe Europa restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, . At the time, Greco was an NYPD cop moonlighting as security for Stone.

Greco, who was with Stone during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, was fired by the NYPD in August 2022 over his relationship with Stone.

Stone is a notorious decadeslong Republican operative who rose to prominence during the Richard Nixon campaigns and administrations. He proudly sports a Nixon face tattoo on his upper back near his neck.

Ironically, Stone is best known for being a master of political dirty tricks.

Even among Republicans, however, he is a controversial figure, sometimes viewed as toxic, other times viewed as a much-needed, hard hitting political fighter.

In late 2020 and early 2021, Stone was closely involved in attempts to “overturn” the election. But is he a serious criminal threat?

Or is this entire scandal a fabricated Democrat political hoax based on an AI-generated deep fake recording?

New York's Nadler said he had been in communication with Capitol police and the about the alleged death threat reported by Mediate.

Stone reportedly said:

Let's go find Swalwell. It's time to do it. Then we'll see how brave the rest of them are. It's time to do it. It's either Nadler or Swalwell has to die before the election. They need to get the message. Let's go find Swalwell and get this over with. I'm just not putting up with this s**t anymore.

At the time of the Caffe Europa conversation, Nadler had announced the Judiciary Committee would be investigating then-President Trump's decision to commute Stone's sentence after he was convicted of in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's discredited Russia probe.

Stone denies he ever had the conversation and claims that the entire thing is a Democrat dirty trick.

Mediate reported that:

Stone denied making those comments, claiming they were generated by AI. He has previously claimed videos of his comments are actually “deep fakes.” In response to a request for comment on the remarks aimed at Swalwell and Nadler, Stone said, “Total nonsense. I've never said anything of the kind more AI manipulation. You asked me to respond to audios that you don't let me hear and you don't identify a source for. Absurd.”

Greco did not deny the comments, but said in a text to Mediaite: “I don't think your reader is interested in ancient political fodder.”

Let's see if this story has any traction or truth or is a sophisticated hoax.
