Steve Bannon Blasts GOP Speaker For Passing ‘Demonic’ Defense Bill

-

ANALYSIS – Many conservatives are unhappy with the Republican leadership in both the House and Senate over their handling of the current defense spending bill. As I wrote about in my December 8 , the final bill stripped all the critical anti-woke provisions that are desperately needed to get the rabidly woke Pentagon back to normalcy.

Some call the Defense Department's woke policies “demonic.” I would agree.

As I described then:

had included provisions eliminating the Defense Department's abortion access policy for troops, banning certain military care for transgender service members, eliminating the post of chief diversity officer for the department and prohibiting all future mask mandates for pandemic prevention efforts throughout the ranks.

Senate Democrats had vowed to oppose those ideas and removed all of them in conference over the last week. And Republicans caved. The chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees agreed to strip those anti-woke provisions.

Four conservative House members on the conference committee – Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz of , Ronny Jackson of Texas, Mike Waltz of Florida and Marjorie Taylor-Greene of Georgia – declined to sign the final conference report in protest of the changes.

Taylor-Green went farther, saying: “This was a total sell-out of conservative principles and a huge win for Democrats.” She added, “funding is there for travel. The policy is still in place for trans and the military and everything that goes with it. Democrat trans policy, Democrat abortion policy, 300 million for is back in the .”

She concluded: “Congratulations to my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, you should all be excited to vote for this! I'm a HELL NO!”

But we aren't the only ones angry at this caving by the GOP. Former Trump advisor and host of “The War Room” podcast, , railed against Speaker on his show as well. I may not always agree with Bannon, but he makes strong points here.

As Mediate reported:

…Steve Bannon torched Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for bringing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to the House floor for a vote on Thursday, mocking Johnson for his frequent references to his Christian faith.

“The NDAA just passed, it just passed. This is Mike Johnson, and don't tell me you're a Christian. I don't want to hear you're a Christian, don't wear your faith, don't give me the Bible, I don't hear more Bible verse. When you've allowed the transgender, you've allowed all that garbage, all that demonic trash throughout the defense budget,” began Bannon on his War Room podcast. “You wonder why, you wonder why you can't get, you wonder why you can't get, that you can't get kids, you know, red-blooded American boys and girls to get into the military with what you've done in this neo-Marxism and this cultural rot.”

“Now you have taxpayers paying for and almost a trillion dollars and you allowed this to happen. when the commitment, the commitment, if you can't get the majority, the majority doesn't go to the floor. The Hastert Rule!” railed Bannon. “But you waive that to get this there because you're playing footsie with [Chuck] Schumer, and you're just as bad as the bad guys because you should know better. So I don't need to hear any more biblical view, okay?”

Bannon continued:

Your intentions don't matter. The only thing that matters is your human agency and what you deliver. What you deliver. So don't give me the biblical worldview, I saw it in the NDA [sic], your biblical worldview is manifested there. So don't do another prayer group. We don't, I don't, what I need is Christians at the ramparts prepared to stand in the breach in what we call the gap. It's not easy. You're going to get criticized on MSNBC. Mitch McConnell is going to say bad things about you. The donors are going to say this and screw them! You either believe it or you don't believe it.
