In off the cuff comments at the White House this afternoon, President Biden appeared to suggest that the integrity of our election system was in doubt if Congress doesn’t act decisively to stop the Republican Party.

To this day, something like 75 percent of Republicans believe there was funny business in the 2020 vote and that Trump was the true winner. That’s a dire crisis of faith in U.S. institutions and exactly the sort of trend the authoritarians among us relish. Biden’s first duty is to do what he can to restore that faith, and that starts with respecting the outcome when the other party wins.
Didn’t he make that point himself less than two weeks ago, in fact?

You can't obey the law only when it's convenient.
You can't be patriotic when you embrace or enable lies.
Instead, he went all-in today on pandering to the left in its push for federal voting rights legislation by suggesting that elections carried out according to the mild reforms passed in states like Texas and Georgia might not necessarily be fair. What a gift to Trump.
That was his worst soundbite of this afternoon’s presser — so far, as it’s still going as I write this — but there were other doozies. Evidently, Russia has a green light from the United States for a “minor incursion” into Ukraine:

There is not doubt in my mind the 2020 election was fraud. No way did J.Biden win fair & square. He spent most of the time at home and wouldn’t come out with what he stood for, now we know the SOB doesn’t stand for anything honest, his whole family are a group of dishonest people, that kid of his has to be held accountable for money fraud and ole Joe himself owes back taxes for the tune of half a million $.
A little incursion into the Ukraine? Joe Biden must be an honors graduate of the Neville Chamberlain School of Foreign Policy.
Sure wish I had lived in Joe’s alternate universe instead of the one we’ve endured over the past in the real world.
Most all Democrats want is to cheat & lie and beleive me these people will be held to account for their stupid actions. When Trump gets back into office we hope he and the Repub. party goes after these dishonest Demos with a full court press. This stupid Biden is going to destroy our country we want him & Harris destroyed.
