The previous day, Carlson took GOP senators Joni Ernst (IA) and Roger Wicker (MS) to task over their rhetoric on Russia, as it maintains a significant military presence near its border with Ukraine. The Fox News host referenced Wicker's appearance on the network earlier in the day, but on Wednesday he returned to Wicker and played a clip of his appearance on Your World with Neil Cavuto.

“It's almost impossible to believe, but we actually are moving closer to a hot war with Russia,” said Carlson. “Now, the people driving this are incompetent. They have a decades-long record of incompetence. They have no fine motor skills whatsoever. So, once this begins to happen, they will not have control over the outcome. You could wake up one morning and it's 1914,” he said, referencing the year World War I began.

  1. The fact that Biden is not mentally fit for the office of president confirms the need to invoke the 25th amendment before it’s to late and that he does provoke a war.

  2. We shouldn’t start a shooting war with Russia unless absolutely necessary, but that doesn’t mean we should let Putin run roughshod over Eastern Europe. I’d support sending enough military aid to equip several Ukrainian divisions, more military advisors and crippling sanctions to devastate the Russian economy if Putin is foolish enough to act.

  3. If Putin believes that the US will let Ukraine twist in the wind, as Obama did in 2014, he will invade. If the US bolsters Ukrainian defenses by helping the Ukrainians with weapons and other support sufficient to make such an invasion extremely costly for Russia, Putin will stay put. Great Britain abandoned Czechoslovakia to Hitler in 1938. Somewhat in the mode of Tucker Carlson, Neville Chamberlain dismissed Czechoslovakia as “a faraway country of which we know nothing,” and felt that it was best not to stand up to “Herr Hitler.” The surrender of Czechoslovakia’s defendable borders gave Hitler the ability to crush the remainder of the country almost overnight, with the result that Czechoslovakia’s immense munitions and armaments industry fell into Hitler’s hands, and the frontier that Poland had to defend against Hitler suddenly expanded. It was not long after the collapse of Poland that bombs were falling on London. Carlson’s position on this issue is exactly backward.

    • Czechoslovakia surrendered to Hitler, after Hitler threatened to destroy their army. The problem was the Czechoslovakia president was an elderly old man and when Hitler threatened him, he fainted. Czech President Emil Hacha–a man considered weak, and possibly even senile–Hitler threatened a bombing raid against Prague, the Czech capital, unless he obtained from Hacha free passage for German troops into Czech borders. He got it. That same day, German troops poured into Bohemia and Moravia. The two provinces offered no resistance, and they were quickly made a protectorate of Germany. By evening, Hitler made a triumphant entry into Prague.
We have a similar president today, and a bunch of woke generals who claim global warming is the enemy. Let Europe fight their own battles, they only supported NATO when Trump forced them to. We just lost enough weapons in Afghanistan to defend the Ukraine, thinks to Biden.

  4. Putin has collaborated with Xi and will indeed invade Ukraine to some scale to set in motion US military to that region thereby weakening our strength when China ultimately invades Taiwan. Biden is a fool and the rest of the Democrats are fools as well and unfortunately we have GOP reps who are fools too. We should have increased our military rather than emasculated it with the silly radical left’s social justice and gender propaganda. The U.S.A. is in trouble unless we have a powerful and daunting military with a Commander-in-Chief who is tough and unrelenting in negotiating with the Putin and Xi. It is amazing how we have diminished ourselves to a second rate military in less than a year.

  5. There is no doubt that America is seen as weak under the “leadership” of Biden…but I’m still skeptical that Putin will invade. The biggest concern is still Taiwan, IMO. Does anyone else find it interesting that Biden’s first year has him having to deal with the potential for very real violent conflict with countries that he and his family are somehow entangled with financially? Seems like a strange coincidence, and had voters known about some of these conflicts of interest leading into the election – if not for concerted efforts at censorship by tech giants and media elites, I don’t think many – what we would now call ‘moderate’ liberals would have voted for Biden.
