Cosplay Revolutionaries Say The Quiet Part Out Loud

-

It will come as no shock to those planning to be in or near the Democratic convention this summer in Chicago that any number of groups are planning to protest the 's (hot and cold) support for Israel.

Passengers attempting to catch their flights at O'Hare airport got a taste of what could be in store this summer as pro-Palestinian protestors blocked the access roads. People abandoned their rides to walk to the terminal.

Sounds like fun, doesn't it? But who are these protestors so intent on making life for everyone else miserable? The Free Press' Olivia Reingold reported that they are a grab-bag of progressives, leftists and assorted anti-American agitators.

That's probably not a surprise either. But what is somewhat shocking is how their anger seems rooted in another era. Consider this encounter Reingold had with a woman outside a gathering where the anti-U.S. bile was freely flowing:

“Iran is part of the resistance,” said the woman, who flew in that morning from New Orleans, where she's been part of an effort to disrupt Israel-bound shipments in her hometown. “Yemen and Iran and Hezbollah, who are also a militant group in Lebanon, and the Syrian government are all parts of the arc of resistance.” A smile creeps across her face as she tells me: “They're part of the arc of resistance because the enemies are Israel and the USA.”

Yes, murderous terrorist organizations, and the nations' that arm and train them, are just “resistance” fighters in a wider war against…something. Reality, most likely. Especially considering just how thuggish Hamas, the terror group Israel is fighting in Gaza, is toward its own people:

Hamas diverts international assistance to build its terrorist infrastructure. This impedes economic development and contributes to the humanitarian and environmental crisis in Gaza. The group restricts the rights of women and Christians and treats homosexuality as a .

Hamas uses civilians as human shields, hiding terror tunnels, weapons factories, and operations centers under schools and in densely populated civilian areas. The (U.N.) has called on Hamas to “cease immediately” these violations of .

“International law” has no meaning for members of “the resistance.” Unless its Israel, of course, which faces an International Court of Justice probe into its role in “occupied” Palestinian lands. Though to its credit, the Court has so far refused to order Israel to end its operations in Gaza. Just one more thing to infuriate the “resistance.”
