Fox News Host Has Undeniable Message for Trump

-

host  appeared to take a thinly-veiled shot at former President Wednesday night.

Ingraham delivered a message to prospective Republican presidential candidates, warning anyone who puts their own grievances and ego above the success of the conservative movement.

Per Mediaite:

The former president endorsed hundreds of candidates, many of whom repeated his false claim the election had been stolen from him. Trump has essentially made this a condition of his endorsement. He also backed many first-time candidates, including public figures such as former news anchor , former TV doctor Mehmet Oz, and former football star Herschel Walker.

Walker is headed to a critical runoff election next month, Lake finds herself trailing Democrat Katie Hobbs and Oz lost outright.

On Wednesday, Ingraham explained what she believes the 2024 Republican presidential nominee needs to do in order to win. In doing so, she seemed to be detailing the proclivities of a certain former president:

Going to 2024, the Republicans are going to be looking for candidates who are focused on winning – not just making a point or settling a score. So, to really change it, we're gonna have to win and we have to win over voters outside our traditional base. That means young people, too.

That's got to be the goal for the next presidential election. The populist movement is about ideas. It is not about any one person. If the voters conclude that you're putting your own ego or your own grudges ahead of what's good for the country, they're going to look elsewhere, period.

Ingraham's remarks come as results continue to come in from a disappointing midterm for the GOP. In what might have been competitive statewide elections, Trump's handpicked candidates consistently underperformed their establishment counterparts whom he often shunned.

Battleground districts left vacant by representatives pushed out for not showing sufficient fealty were replaced with election deniers who turned eminently winnable races into routes.

Grand Rapids, Michigan sent a Democrat to for the first time since the Watergate era.

Whether or not Trump will still announce a widely expected presidential campaign next week remains to be seen. Some insiders are also quietly griping about his stinginess despite raising hundreds of millions of dollars.

Newsweek has more, analyzing a recent Washington Post op-ed from GOP operative Marc Thiessen:

The newspaper reported that Trump has raised a whopping $161 million for campaigns this year, but his Make America Great Again (MAGA) super PAC has spent a measly $14.8 million in Senate races as opposed to McConnell's super PACs, which have funneled $238 million into Senate races to “bail out” Trump-backed candidates.

A report by AdImpact reported that McConnell's super PAC Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) was the leading group donating to Senate races. SLF donated $205 million of the $238 million from McConnell's PACs, distributed across nine Republican Senate candidates. According to the article, SLF is heavily focusing its efforts on races in Georgia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Each of those Republican candidates received more than $30 million from SLF for their campaigns.

    • Later she glosses it as “populist,” ie, “say what people want to hear” without doing a thing except paying back your swampy funders, enriching yourself at the public trough (ie, become a swamp monster) as if nobody is watching (nobody is); then wash, rinse, repeat.

  1. Fox news called the election in Michigan for governor with only about 30% of votes returns. The gave the Michigan governor the race just like they did Arizona. Corruption at fox news. Will never watch that nazi news again.

  2. The voting irregularities were NEVER addressed properly so until that happens for people to say it didn’t happen are simply ignoring the facts.

  3. We don’t need a Trump vs DeSantis primary. #1 reason is that is exactly what democrats and the media want and we need to keep our focus on the failings of democrats and the harm to our country. I love Pres Trump and have always supported him. But I have to say I am getting increasingly tired of the shots he is taking at republicans right now and the constant unnecessary drama. The Republican Party (and the country) owes him a great deal and he doesn’t need to be tossed aside. I don’t want to see him go out on a losing note but I believe the time has come to bow-out gracefully. The primary may be impossible to prevent and if DeSantis decides to run, I expect to support him as a populous candidate, who understands how to cut through bureaucracy and get things done. And he knows how to handle the democrat cult media. If DeSantis runs, watch how quickly the media descends their hate and vitriol on him because he has the smarts and can-do attitude of Trump without all the drama. And that scares the heck out of media and democrats!

    • Agree with much of what you say, however, I have a different take on it all. While I was hoping that Trump would become a “kinder and more refined” individual and not constantly slam everyone and everything, I think he will be too old. This country needs someone who thinks like him but is younger and more agile – someone who is younger without all the baggage of a Trump. As a individual one year older than Trump, I can tell that old age, for some, suddenly hits you rather than creeps up on you. Mr. Trump, enjoy your family, your golf, and retirement when you can. Thanks.

    • The MSM has been bashing DeSantis for some time already; a war between DeSantis and Trump would damage the GOP bigly.
DeSantis has shown he understands the bureaucracy; Trump achieved great things, but his underestimating the perfidiousness of the bureaucracy is how we got the phony “Pandemic” that never met the definition of one.

    • well said, Mr Ferrell, I voted for him the first go round this blackmail he has hit on DeSantis is hitting below the belt.this is BS,not the way a leader of the free world is too act even when he run the first time ,i said his mouth was his worst enemy.

  4. if any person in his country cared they would contact the congress and representatives and tell them to get after the fbi, cia and doj to do the same as Denish Dsouza and true the vote people did and come down hard on the election people and the mules. Watch the movie about spying on your cells phone to make the movie 2000 mule. they know where your phone is 24/7. so any arsonist, murderer, hit and run violation any thing can be gotten

  5. In my opinion, it is is too early to talk about who will be the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential elections. A candidate will be selected in the primaries. Let’s stop trying to split our side until then – Republicans are great at the eating their own. Before 2024 becomes the center of attention, how about finishing off the current election. There are still a couple elections that need to be finished counting, probably a few audits, and one run off (Ga). Laura is not a Trump fan and is typical of many of the Fox team. There are many at Fox who would like to start a fight between Trump and anyone else, just for the ratings.

  6. Not true that Trump’s picks lost. They won more seats than lost. Can we ever count on media to tell the truth? And we’re still waiting to hear more wins, Adam Laxalt, Kari Lake, possibly Blake Masters, Herschel Walker, etc. There’s a clear aim today from establishment republicans to go after Trump. We don’t need Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnel, Romney, etc. They need to get out of the Republican party and go join the Liz Cheney team.

    • Absolutely true. Of the Trump endorsed candidates 174 Won and 9 lost! Never in the history of our country has another President ever won that many endorsements in a midterm election!
So stop letting the lying Media and Democrats deflate our MAGA movement! They have to lie because they want to keep the division! To late. We know their playbook!

  7. Sorry Ms. Ingraham, you are dead wrong. And if you took the time to watch any one of the rallies that Pres Trump has held, you would see that many people support him. And you have your figures wrong as well. Pres Trump made 254 endorsements in the general election and had a 79% success rate. Additionally, anyone who does not see that the 2020 election was stolen, as this election has been the victim of fraud and collusion is blind. Shttps://ballotpedia.org/Endorsements_by_Donald_Trump
