Ohio Senator J.D. Vance (R) just departed from his home in a heavily guarded motorcade, mere hours before former President Donald Trump is scheduled to announce his running mate.
In a tweet that quickly went viral, Fox News' Martha MacCallum highlighted the intense security measures in place at Vance's home. Local affiliate FOX8 reported an increase in security around the residence, coordinated by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, the ATF and the State Highway Patrol. The United States Secret Service (USSS) was apparently not involved in these security measures.
Despite the lack of USSS involvement, all signs currently point to Vance as Trump's most likely choice for vice president.

Vance has since left his Cincinnati home in a police-escorted motorcade, fueling further speculation about his potential role in Trump's campaign.
Trump himself arrived in Milwaukee on Sunday, preparing for the Republican National Convention. In a post on Truth Social, Trump addressed his near-death experience that almost altered his plans: “Based on yesterday's terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a ‘shooter,' or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else.”
