Former Vice President Dick Cheney, once described by Joe Biden as probably the most dangerous vice president in U.S. history, has endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.
In a statement released Friday, Cheney sharply criticized former President Donald Trump, calling him “a greater threat to our republic than any individual in our nation’s 248-year history.” He added, “Trump tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again.”
Cheney urged voters to prioritize the Constitution over partisanship, stating, “As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.”
Cheney’s endorsement followed a similar announcement from his daughter, former Representative Liz Cheney, who also backed Harris despite their political differences. Liz Cheney, who served as chair of the House Republican Conference, has been a vocal critic of Trump.
As a high-ranking Republican herself, Cheney initially backed most of Trump’s policies during his presidency. However, she broke with him after condemning his role in inciting the U.S. Capitol riot. Cheney later voted to impeach Trump in the days following the attack, which interrupted a joint session of Congress certifying Joe Biden’s electoral victory.
Trump responded to the endorsements on his social media platform, dismissing Cheney and his daughter as irrelevant. He labeled them “RINOs” (Republicans In Name Only) and accused them of being responsible for failed policies. Trump further claimed, “I am the Peace President, and only I will stop World War III.”
He also reiterated his accusations against Liz Cheney and her role on the Jan. 6 investigation committee, calling for legal action against her and others involved.

What Cheney is really saying is that Trump is a threat to the corrupt government that is presently in place today. We had four years to know what a Trump presidency looks like – four years of peace and prosperity – no unconstitutional governance like we see with the current regime.
So this is the traitor who taught his daughter to be such a vicious tramp.
No one cares what Dick and dickless Cheney think or who they endorse.
Cheney’s problem with Trump is it would threaten his ability to squeeze money out of corporations. Cheney does lobbying for corporations, mostly in the defense industry, and Trump threatens that. He has set himself up with a nice fat income using his position as VP. It is this kind of maneuvering that burns our money in the defense industry for one example.
What would you expect from Dick Chenney, a politician who made millions of dollars off the taxpayer feeding the military! Chenney has to be the top of the list as a “taker”, using his politics to make a fortune was always his goal.
And just like that, they went from being against foreign interference in our elections to allowing non-citizens to vote in our elections!
