Renowned pollster Mark Penn expressed his disapproval of the Democrats’ efforts to keep RF Jr. off the ballot when it was politically advantageous, and then keep him on the ballot after he requested to remove his name because they believed it would hurt Trump’s chances.

Former Bill Clinton pollster Mark Penn criticized Democrats on Friday for trying to thwart former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy’s efforts to get on the ballot prior to his endorsement of former President Donald Trump.
Kennedy announced he was suspending his presidential campaign on Aug. 23 and endorsed Trump, and has since sought to remove his name from several state ballots. Penn said that Democrats initially had tried to keep Kennedy off ballots, but are now trying to keep him on to pull support away from the former president.Kennedy won appeals Friday to have his name removed from the ballot in North Carolina and Michigan, two states that went for former President Donald Trump in 2016. Harris holds leads of 1.1% in Michigan, while Trump holds a 0.7% lead in North Carolina, according to RealClearPolling.
Kennedy received 5% support in a five-way race with Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and independent candidate Cornel West, according to the RealClearPolling average of polls before he announced the suspension of his campaign.
In a discussion with Charles Payne on Fox News’ Your World about “law fare,” and how he believed it interfered with people’s voting rights, he included the Democrats’ ballot initiatives.
“I think some of these things that we have seen where people have tried to knock off people from the ballot unfairly, or now they are even trying to keep RFK on the ballot when he asked to be withdrawn because it’s to one partisan advantage…”
Jill Stein has criticized the Democrats and insists they should be renamed the “Anti-Democratic Party” for hiring an army of lawyers to keep third party candidates off of the ballot. Cornel West shared in a podcast interview that after RFK Jr. endorsed Trump, the Harris campaign contacted him, urging him to “fall in line” to make history (referring to electing a black woman as president) as well as offering him a job and to pay off campaign debt.
Pollsters and political commentators have emphasized again and again that the election will be won by razor thin margins, as the Republican and Democrat nominees are locked in tight races in every swing state.
