They say blood is thicker than water…

The Kennedy family is planning to make a formal endorsement on Thursday, but the well-known political dynasty is opting to support President instead of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Biden campaign is expecting 15 members of the Kennedy family to attend Thursday's event in Philadelphia alongside the president. Kerry Kennedy, the younger sister of , will deliver remarks outlining her family's support for Biden, according to The Hill.

“President Biden has been a champion for all the rights and freedoms that my father and uncles stood for,” Kerry Kennedy will say, according to excerpts provided by the Biden campaign.

“I can only imagine how 's outrageous lies and behavior would have horrified my father, Robert F. Kennedy, who proudly served as Attorney General of the , and honored his pledge to uphold the law and protect the country,” Kerry Kennedy will say, directly invoking her father. “Daddy stood for equal justice, human rights, and freedom from want and fear. Just as President Biden does today.”

Prior to Thursday's scheduled remarks Kennedy appeared on ABC's “Good Morning America” to discuss why the family has opted to endorse Biden for a second term.

“I think, you know, this is the most important election of my lifetime,” Kerry Kennedy told George Stephanopoulos.

On “GMA,” Kerry Kennedy pointed to the need to get Biden elected, saying there is “no competition” when it comes to supporting the president. She praised Biden for “carrying on the legacies” of her father, Robert F. Kennedy, and her uncle, former President John F. Kennedy.

RFK Jr. is running an independent campaign for the White House, arguing Biden is not up to the job for another term and that former President Trump “failed” in his first term and would be bad for the country.

The Kennedy family has been outspoken against the third-party presidential challenge and has sought to distance themselves from the campaign.
