MyPillow Evicted From Warehouse Over Unpaid Rent

Could a Wednesday court ruling from the Land of 10,000 Lakes signal the death knell for ?

According to MyPillow founder , a confidant of former President and outspoken election denier, his cushion company got evicted because the landlord wanted the property back. However, the landlord filed an eviction complaint against Lindell three weeks ago for allegedly failing to pay rent in February and March 2024.

The landlord, First Industrial LP, initially leased the 125,000-square-foot warehouse in Minneapolis to Lindell in 2015. The March 7 complaint lists the monthly rent at $57,794.12. Since MyPillow failed to cover rent on more than two occasions in the last 12 months, the landlord can retake possession of the property.

Lindell faces multiple defamation lawsuits for spreading the disproven conspiracy theory that electronic voting companies rigged the , including a $1.3 billion suit brought by Dominion Voting Systems.

In February, a federal judge ruled he must pay $5 million to the digital forensics expert who debunked his election claims.

After Republicans regained control of the House of Representatives in 2022, Lindell announced that his streaming service would file a lawsuit against then-Speaker over his decision to give CCTV footage from the U.S. Capitol riot to . At the time, Lindell told Steve Bannon that McCarthy's decision to share the 41,000 hours of footage with Carlson exclusively violated the First Amendment's freedom of the press provision and the Equal Protection Clause under the 14th Amendment.

Last year, MyPillow started auctioning off excess equipment and subleasing manufacturing space after major retailers severed ties due to Lindell's conspiracy theories.

Lindell denied claims that MyPillow was at risk of insolvency, although he acknowledged it had “lost $100 million” at the time.
