A letter from former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign warns powerful Republican groups, in no uncertain terms, about trying to “usurp his brand” as the 2024 presidential election heats up.
The campaign threatened to boycott any group that fails to comply with Trump’s demands, saying anyone fundraising off his name or image without authorization robs him of “resources” to make Joe Biden a one-term president.
The National Republican Campaign Committee and prominent firms, including Axiom Strategies and Targeted Victory, received a copy of the letter.
“When you deceive the President’s donors and usurp his brand for your own profit, you drain him of the financial resources his campaign needs to defeat Joe Biden and Make America Great Again,” it read. (RELATED: Newly Sworn-in Congressman Accused Of Stealing Thousands From Homeless Veteran)
Mediaite’s Zachary Leeman speculated that the letter may have been borne out of frustration that some groups are also raising money for other 2024 Republican presidential hopefuls.
Leeman also notes:
Organizations that don’t comply with Trump could miss out on potential appearances, endorsements, etc.
“Going forward, in determining which candidates he will support, the President and his team will consider whether the candidate is paying a digital fundraising vendor that routinely fundraises off of his name, image and likeness without his authorization,” the letter reads. “It is highly unlikely that President Trump will endorse, sign letters for, appear at events with or post on social media about candidates who use such vendors, or invite such vendors’ clients to join him on stage or otherwise recognize them at his rallies and other events.”

How I remember Ronald Reagan’s “11th Commandment”, “Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.” Unfortunately, those days are long gone, and so is the likelihood of the survival of the Great American Experiment if the 2024 election is lost by the GOP.
Trump and DeSantis are the leading contenders for leadership going into the 2024 election AND beyond. To put it succinctly, Root cogently argues that unless Trump and DeSantis unite, preferably as a ticket with the two registering as residents of different States, all hopes of winning the 2024 election will be a matter of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and the hopes of avoiding a seditious socialist one-party state for the foreseeable future a foregone conclusion, if not permanently.
