A Florida congressman arrived at Wednesday's hearing of the Committee on Government Oversight and Accountability wearing a rubber mask of one of America's top foreign adversaries.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz – a first-term congressman from Florida's 23rd Congressional District – was filmed wearing a rubber mask of Russian president Vladimir Putin's face.
Speaking as Putin, Moskowitz said he was there to thank Chair Jim Comer (R-Ky.) “for taking all of our intelligence and using it in the committee.”
Moskowitz also said, speaking as Putin, that Chairman Comer “can come see the technology in our (Russian) grocery stores, referencing videos released by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. (RELATED: Tucker Carlson Says Moscow Is ‘Nicer' Than Any US City)
After his recent trip to Russia, Carlson was seemingly mesmerized by the idea that carts in Russian grocery stores were not being stolen thanks to technology that prevents them from moving without a coin being first inserted into the cart. This “technology” is also found in America at the discount grocery store chain Aldi.
