President Biden’s budget proposal — released earlier this week — includes $1.7 billion for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Here’s why this matters and why law-abiding gun owners should be concerned.
Throughout the 158-page document, searches for the terms “ATF,” “gun” and “firearms” only turn up a handful of results.
The ATF falls under the DOJ, and in the section describing the DOJ’s budgetary allocations, the White House wrote that the DOJ’s law enforcement funding — which is set to increase by $1.7 billion to a total of $17.4 billion — would go to the following:
“Combating gun crime and other violent crime, terrorism, violence against women, and cyber threats; protecting civil rights; implementing Federal, State, and local criminal justice reforms; improving the immigration court system; bolstering antitrust enforcement; and advancing environmental justice.”
However, the subsequent section specifically calls for “increased regulations for the firearms industry.” What the Left refuses to realize is that firearms can help remedy a number of the issues that the Biden administration so badly wants to solve.
Violence against women? Guns are the great equalizer, and history proves this time and time again. Training law-abiding gun owners to use firearms is the best way to prevent violence — especially against women.
For example, in my adopted home state of Virginia, a female 7/11 clerk thwarted an attack from an armed robber who entered her store in 2017 by using her own firearm.
Notably, it’s not just women who can benefit from proper firearms training. Seeing as “violent crime” is another concern of the Biden administration, they should instead invest in having more law-abiding gun owners, as doing so would help prevent more violent crimes.
Just last month, I wrote about a jewelry store owner who was able to defend both his life and his livelihood just by brandishing his weapon on would-be looters that entered his store in a Northern California mall.
The Biden White House can also not claim to strive to protect civil rights while simultaneously launching a full-fledged attack on the Second Amendment. The most basic civil rights that we enjoy as Americans are enshrined within the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. That is Civics 101, and it seems like whoever from the Executive Branch wrote this section of the budget needs to take a refresher course.
Finally, guns are also mentioned in a section titled “Strengthening America’s Public Health Infrastructure.” That segment of the budget proposal calls gun violence a “public health epidemic,” and calls for investment “in community violence intervention and firearm safety research.” What the Biden administration fails to realize is that the research has already been done – what Americans really need is proper training on how to handle firearms so that they can use them to their benefit.

The left wingers want to take everyone’s guns away from them so that only they have the guns in order to keep the rest of us under control. All they are really doing is pushing this country closer and closer to that second American revolution that’s been talked about for years now. If that second revolution starts, the big thing will be, what will our military do? Between obama and biden, they have gotten rid of most of the military leaders and replaced them with political drones that think as they do. When it comes it will tear this country apart and the United States of America just might no longer exist.

This adminstration will go down as one of most dishonest & UnAmerican in history. The second amend, was put in place for times like this.(combat a tyrantical Gov from destroying honest people means to defend themselves.)

What about his own POS son who lied on his federal form to obtain a firearm (a federal offense) then lost it when his sexual partner at the time threw it in a dumpster where it was subsequently found by someone else. Finally, the Secret Service had to retrieve it from them. The main stream media ignored the story and the White House had no comment. Meanwhile the disturbed moron, Joe Biden is busy trying to illegally circumvent yet another Constitutional right. “This man cannot remain in power.” Let’s get rid of Joe by whatever means he had in mind for Putin.
