Following the 46 second boxing match where Algeria's Imane Khelif immediately knocked out Italy's Angela Carini, the International Olympics Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach faced intense questioning about the Committee's process for identifying who is allowed to compete in women's competitions.
When asked about the process going forward, Bach responded with the following:
“We have said from the very beginning, if somebody is presenting us a scientifically solid system how to identify men and women, we are the first ones to do it. We do not like this uncertainty. We do not like it for the overall situation for nobody. So, we would be more than pleased to look into it. But what is not possible is that somebody is saying, you know, ‘this is not a woman' just by looking at somebody or by falling prey to a defamation campaign by not a credible organization.”
What Bach dismissed as “not a credible organization” was the International Boxing Association, that partially tests for chromosomes.
In 2023, the IBA disqualified Imane Khelif (as well as Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting) from competing in their 2023 Women's World Boxing Championships. IBA President Umar Kremlev explained the decision: “Based on DNA tests, we identified a number of athletes who tried to trick their colleagues into posing as women. According to the results of the tests, it was proved that they have XY chromosomes. Such athletes were excluded from competition.”
International Olympics Committee Spokesmen Mark Adams said “Everyone competing in the women's category is complying with the competition eligibility rules. They are women in their passports and it's stated that this is the case, that they are female.”
According to the IOC, the only “confirmation” required to qualify an athlete to compete with other women is passport marked “female.”
This is an especially haphazard approach, considering countries across the globe are lowering the standards of accuracy in their passport application processes.
In 2021 the U.S. State Department made a major change to their policy, allowing applicants to self report their sex without any sort of certifying medical documents, and “choose” their gender based on how they feel and nothing else, showing further solidarity with far left gender ideology and rejecting the concept of biological sex. The next year, the State Department added an “X” option, in addition to “M” and “F” in their gender identification options.
As much as the IOC and virtue signaling governments may want to deny the existence or importance of biological sex, Angela Carini couldn't deny it as she collapsed to the ground after Imane Khelif struck her.
“I'm used to suffering. I've never taken a punch like that, it's impossible to continue. I'm nobody to say it's illegal. I got into the ring to fight. But I didn't feel like it anymore after the first minute. I started to feel a strong pain in my nose. I didn't give up, but a punch hurt too much and so I said enough. I'm leaving with my head held high.”
This kind of behavior of the Olympics “organizers” and what I heard about the opening ceremony is why I have NOT and will NOT watch ANY of the Olympics broadcasts.
This is ridiculous and this will probably go on until something catastrophic happens to one of these young women and then someone will have to answer for it. I’d like to know where in the hell are these sanctimonious elitist women’s groups. I guess the safety of these women doesn’t fit there liberal agenda like the slaughter and murder of the unborn innocent.
How can sane people have fallen so low that they know a woman from a man.Insanity has taken over
Wherever corruption exists, it stands upon a foundation of lies. These people will drown in the quicksand. It has taken some time, but the taking back has begun in earnest. We will take our Civilization and Culture back from these people. They should all be cast into the Lake of Fire.
The 46 seconds represents the failure, illegitimacy, illegality, and evil of the Biden-Harris administration and add Tim Walz to that as well.
