Former CNN anchor Don Lemon revealed surprising insights about Black voter sentiment during an appearance on MSNBC's “Inside with Jen Psaki.” Lemon shared with host Jen Psaki that many Black voters told him they were unaware of Vice President Kamala Harris' identity and expressed intentions to vote for former President Donald Trump, whom they perceived as being “on the side of Black people.”
Psaki, a former White House Press Secretary, appeared visibly surprised by Lemon's revelations. The conversation centered around Lemon's recent interviews with Black voters in key swing states leading up to the Democratic National Convention. Lemon described these encounters as “eye-opening,” especially regarding voter perspectives on the economy. (RELATED: Ex-Biden Press Secretary's Shocking Reaction To Trump Shooting [VIDEO])
Lemon noted that despite the media associating some positive economic indicators with the Biden-Harris administration, many voters are recalling the 2021 stimulus checks, which bore Trump's signature, and are basing their voting decisions on that memory.
“I don't know if it was surprising, but it was certainly eye-opening to hear so many people, even people of color and women, saying they are going to support Donald Trump. I am not quite sure that the polls are accurate as it relates to the tightening of the polls and who will support whom,” Lemon said. Lemon also addressed reactions from right-wing media, which suggested he was shocked by the responses he received. He clarified that a significant number of Black men told him they support Trump because of the $1,200 stimulus checks distributed during his presidency.
“Right-wing media, when I released my content, they said Don Lemon was shocked or surprised at the answers he got. But there were a lot of Black men, Jen, who said they were supporting Donald Trump simply because he gave them a stimulus check. He gave them $1200 back when he was president. They did not somehow remember that the current president also gave them a stimulus check, except his name wasn't on it,” Lemon explained.
Lemon further elaborated on the marketing impact of Trump's name being on the checks. “So, I had to remind them time after time that the check did not come from Donald Trump, that it came from a Democratic Congress and he had to slow it up to have his name on it. So, when they got the check, and his name was on it, they automatically thought it came directly from Donald Trump which I think is good marketing. Which is the same as he does for buildings around the country, especially in New York. He doesn't actually own them but he puts his name on them and it makes people think he owns them and it makes them think that he is richer and bigger and more benevolent than he is,” Lemon continued.

I commend Lemon, the fool, for getting out of his comfort zone and intrrvieeing real people on the street. One couple just derisively turning away when he tried to correct their take on their own economic circumstances and experience was hilarious. And Psaki? She’s just another elite-in-her-oen-mind that can’t understand why we do not want the marxo-fascist harris-walz team to govern us.
