Controversial MAGA influencer and fervent Donald Trump supporter Laura Loomer is publicly offering opposition research on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to any Republican or Democrat who chooses to challenge the very conservative congresswoman. The move marks a dramatic turn in their relationship, which comes after Greene accused Loomer of racism over her recent criticism of Vice President Kamala Harris, which included derogatory Indian stereotypes.
The fallout began on Wednesday, the day after Loomer flew to the debate on Trump's private plane, Trump Force One, and appeared with the former president at 9/11 memorial events in New York City. Greene, who has previously voiced concerns about Loomer's proximity to Trump, condemned the influencer's post on X as “appalling and extremely racist.”
In response, Loomer launched a furious counterattack, as reported by Mediaite:
In response, Loomer unleashed a multi-post and lengthy rant on X, firstly defending her original attack on Harris and attacks on Greene's family life and professional record, calling her a “raging anti-semite” and “trailer trash harpy.”
As her tirade against Greene continued, Loomer accused the Republican congresswoman of commonly using racist language herself.
“Speaking of racism, one of your former staffers told me you have a favorite word that starts with N,” she wrote.
Loomer also accused Greene of using campaign funds to organize meetings between rapper Kanye West and white supremacist Nick Fuentes as well as abandoning January 6th rioters to “rot” in prison and infidelity.
As Loomer's tirade reached its crescendo late Wednesday, she issued a call to action, urging political operatives – whether “Republican or Democrat” – to reach out for “free” opposition research on the Georgia congresswoman.
Speaking from the Capitol, Greene dismissed Loomer's behavior, stating that she “does not have the right mentality to advise” Trump in such a critical election. Greene further emphasized, “This is such an important election… I don't think she has the experience or the right mentality to advise a very important presidential election.”
While Loomer does not hold an official role within Trump's campaign, The Washington Post's Kara Voght reported that Loomer plays an influential, albeit informal, role by encouraging Trump's more visceral instincts during key campaign moments, a dynamic Trump reportedly values.
