Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Arrested For Child Neglect After Drugs, Feces And Razor Blades Found In Home

Wisconsin police have arrested and charged Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, the 27-year-old daughter of Rosie O’Donnell, with child neglect and drug-related offenses. The arrest followed a report of concerning conditions in her home, where officers discovered her 11-month-old baby amid dangerous and unsanitary conditions, including a discarded meth pipe, feces and razor blades on the floor.

Disturbing Conditions in the Home

According to the police report, the interior of the residence was in a miserable state. The officer described the scene as “disgusting,” noting, “The inside of the home was disgusting [with] milk that stunk so bad it almost made me puke, dirty diapers, used female hygiene products, unclean underwear with feces and blood stains and used razor blades on the floor.”

O’Donnell initially tried to downplay the incident to officers before eventually admitting to arguing with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund. According to The Post Millennial, officers found a box of hypodermic needles in the baby’s bedroom, as well as a used meth pipe:

“I tried to ask her more questions and you could tell the (sic) Chelsea was not being honest whatsoever. This was a repeat of what happened a few weeks prior when I was at her house for a similar incident,” the police wrote in a report.

When she was put in the patrol car, O’Donnell also confessed to having something in her bra, which police discovered was a vial container of sorts in a bag with some pills. “In the black vial was a white crystal-like substance that I know to be meth,” the police report recounted. She had 18 grams of meth on her.

“Under a baby crib, I located a black and silver digital scale, some used gem bags with white residue, and a sharps container that had more used and unused hypodermic needles,” it went on, recounting the conditions of the house.

“It appeared Jacob and Chelsea were more concerned with their drug addiction than providing [the baby] with a safe and clean environment,” the police alleged in the report.

Charges Filed Against O’Donnell

Following the September arrest, Chelsea O’Donnell was charged with multiple felonies, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC, according to court documents.

Before officers arrived at the scene, a 911 operator reported hearing sounds of an altercation over the phone. The operator noted that O’Donnell could be heard arguing with someone, and a woman’s voice was recorded saying, “Get the hell away from me.”

Rosie O’Donnell adopted Chelsea when she was a baby, along with her former partner, Kelli Carpenter. At 18, Chelsea moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to her biological mother. In 2017, Rosie told the Daily Mail that Chelsea was born addicted to heroin and has spent much of her life in and out of hospitals.

“She has had a tough road. She is very sick. She is not capable of truth or reason,” Rosie noted.

Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump have had a long-standing public feud dating back to the mid-2000s. It began when O’Donnell criticized Trump on The View in 2006, questioning his handling of various controversies, including his decision to give Miss USA, Tara Conner, a second chance after a scandal. Trump responded with sharp remarks, calling O’Donnell names and attacking her appearance. This exchange set off a series of public back-and-forths between the two.

Their animosity resurfaced over the years, particularly during Trump’s presidential campaigns and time in office, as O’Donnell became an outspoken critic of his policies and behavior. The once universally recognized comedian, actress and television host increasingly used social media to voice her opposition to his administration.
