The U.S. Secret Service has launched an internal investigation into an agent accused of posting hate-filled comments on social media, including criticisms of President-elect Donald Trump and his supporters. The agent allegedly referred to Trump’s plans as “Nazi-ass policies” and labeled his supporters as “chodes” and “neo-Nazis” in posts shared under a now-deleted Reddit account, /u/endon40.
Details of the alleged posts were first published by the website Justice Report and further circulated by online investigators. The posts include criticisms of Trump, claims that fascist regimes ultimately fail and declarations of allegiance to anarchist and antifascist ideologies. In one post, he purportedly wrote.
“These chodes are cowards and won’t win, no matter how long it takes to pry them from power if they manage to cheat their way back to it.”
Another post stated:
“When you’re willing to [vote Trump] and support a guy who has policies mirroring the Third Reich and again, had actual neo-Nazis around him, you’re a Nazi.”
In addition, Justice Report highlighted posts where the agent described himself as a “walking talking infoshop” of anarchist theory and credited left-wing podcasts with shaping his worldview.
Secret Service Responds
RealClearPolitics National Correspondent Susan Crabtree reached out to the Secret Service for comment. Agency spokesman Anthony Gugilielmi confirmed that the matter is under review and that the agent’s duties have been adjusted during the investigation.
“The U.S. Secret Service recently became aware of alleged social media posts by an employee that have prompted an internal review,” Gugilielmi said in a statement. “We are taking this matter seriously, and this employee’s assigned duties have been modified while this review is underway. These comments in no way represent the views or values of the Secret Service, and we maintain and enforce rigorous codes of conduct governing employee actions both on and off duty.”
Justice Report further notes:
“The agent, from what I’ve been told, has about six years of experience and is in Phase 2 of his career is assigned to Vice President Kamala Harris’s protective detail,” said Crabtree in her report. “After the social media posts came to light, the agent deleted his accounts so any internal agency review would need to verify those deleted accounts as his. That’s apparently why he hasn’t been disciplined more severely and swiftly.”

She also states that the issue could be further exacerbated as the USSS currently outsources hiring to civilian “human resource officials,” who favor Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals and have no experience in the complicated and elite task of guarding the Executive Branch.
The agency has not disclosed specific details about the scope of the investigation. However, the incident raises further questions about the professional conduct required of Secret Service personnel.

The USSS currently outsources hiring to civilian “human resource officials,” who favor Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion goals and have no experience in the complicated and elite task of guarding the Executive Branch. So who was the idiot that decided to totally outsource the hiring process? I have no problem with civilian “human resource officials” doing the initial screening of candidates BUT the final decision should be made by USSS.
