Colorado’s Democrat Governor refused to hide his shock and disappointment in President Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter.

“While as a father I certainly understand President Joe Biden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country,” the Democrat wrote on X.
“This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation. When you become President, your role is Pater familias of the nation,” Polis continued, referencing a Latin term for head of the household.
“Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President’s son,” Polis added.
Biden announced the pardon on Sunday after Hunter was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year.
The pardon applies to offenses against the U.S. that Hunter Biden “has committed or may have committed” from Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2024.
MSNBC contributor Molly Jong-Fast was speechless on Sunday after learning about the pardon while live on air.
“I just want to alert you all to some breaking news that we’re getting. NBC is reporting that President Biden is expected to pardon his son, Hunter Biden,” MSNBC guest host Melissa Murray said during a discussion. “According to NBC News, the president made the decision this weekend. Molly, fast and furious, what do you make of this new news?”
“I, so, I just heard it. I have to process it. I don’t have a take. I’m sorry,” Jong-Fast responded.
MSNBC contributor Charlie Sykes quoted a “smart person” that texted him, agreeing that Trump probably can’t “believe his own dumb fucking luck at this point.”
The Atlantic’s deputy executive editor Yoni Applebaum quoted an article by his publication’s newest addition, Jonathan Chait, who said Biden “chose to prioritize his own feelings over the defense of his country.”
“Will sadly tarnish his reputation”! Creepy Joe had a reputation capable of being tarnished? Who would have guessed?
This is not just a pardon for Hunter’s tax and gun violations. it’s a pardon for all Hunter’s crimes against the United States- including peddling the office of Presidency. Biden is trying to pardon himself in this unprecedented move.

Anyone who thought Biden would not pardon Hunter is living in a dream world. When he said he would not pardon Hunter I said the question is not IF he will pardon Hunter, the questions is & has been WHEN will he pardon him. Of course what is suspicious is the start date. In April 2014 Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian gas company, while Joe was Vice President.

Is anyone really surprised? The Biden Crime Family has always been out for themselves. And keeping Hunter out of court on his (and Joe’s) influence peddling schemes keeps the coverup going. The family has scammed millions of dollars out of several countries and gotten away with it, thanks to Biden’s–and the Democrats’–weaponized DOJ, FBI, and courts. Joe has lied his way through his whole career, who thought he would stop now?

If you think this pardon is a surprise you are the problem. Biden has been a lying POS for 50 years and if you were dumb enough to believe he wouldn’t conceal his crimes and pardon Hunter then you need to open your eyes. Biden’s are lowlife criminals and lack integrity or an honest bone in them.
Biden also protected himself with Hunter’s pardon as Pres Biden received money from some of Hunter’s “deals” with foreign nations, esp. Ukraine.
By providing such a sprawling pardon for Hunter Biden, it assures any and all investigations are null and void and will never reach within the Biden family. Ingenious!
For the most part I do not care. But I am curious, given what everything that Trump has said about Biden and his family, how many of those complaining about Bidens pardon would have left their children to the tender mercies of Mr. Trump?? And why?? Do you really despise your offspring that much???
