Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) made explosive allegations on the floor of the U.S. House, accusing her ex-fiancé and three business partners of sexual assault and trafficking involving herself and a dozen other women.
Mace Goes Public with Allegations
In a striking speech, Mace declared her intent to expose wrongdoing, stating, “Today, I’m going scorched earth. So let the bridges I burn this evening light our way forward.”
Her comments also targeted South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, a fellow Republican, alleging that his office has failed to investigate the claims adequately. The timing of her criticism has fueled speculation about political tensions, as both Wilson and she are considered contenders for South Carolina’s 2026 gubernatorial race.
The Hill has more on Mace’s passionate speech:
“You have bought yourself a one-way ticket to hell. It is nonstop, there are no connections, so I and all your victims can watch you rot in eternity,” Mace said on the House floor, in a speech she said she titled “Iron Sharpens Iron.”
She made a number of specific allegations, including finding thousands of intimate photos and videos of women and underage girls that were captured without their consent. Mace also said she was raped herself after blacking out one night, and believes she was “purposefully incapacitated.”
Even more horrific @NancyMace details being drugged and raped. She was told by law enforcement, after giving them the information, that she could be investigated and arrested.

Im in tears watching this.
God Bless you Nancy. You are so strong. I stand with you. pic.twitter.com/R5iZwLYpMG
Mace pulled out props throughout the remarks, including handcuffs — “if anyone would like to arrest me for standing up for women, here are my wrists” — a glass to show the size of the two drinks she had the night she says she blacked out, and a camera she said was hidden at the property owned by two of the alleged assailants.
Mace also went into further graphic detail, but The Hill has not independently verified the allegations. While Mace said she has evidence to back up her claims, she has not yet presented it.
Attorney General Wilson Responds
Wilson’s office swiftly refuted some of Mace’s claims, issuing a statement denying any involvement in delaying an investigation.
“Ms. Mace either does not understand or is purposefully mischaracterizing the role of the Attorney General. At this time, our office has not received any reports or requests for assistance from any law enforcement or prosecution agencies regarding these matters.”
The statement further emphasized that Mace has had multiple opportunities to raise concerns directly with Wilson but has not done so:
“Congresswoman Mace and the Attorney General have been at multiple events together over the last six months. She also has the Attorney General’s personal cellphone number. Not once has she approached or reached out to him regarding any of her concerns.”
Wilson’s office underscored his record on law enforcement and crime victim advocacy, pointing to his leadership in creating the state’s Human Trafficking Task Force and Crime Victim Services Division.
Mace Stands By Her Claims
Mace continued pressing her allegations on social media, reaffirming her commitment to telling the truth.
In posts on X (formerly Twitter), Mace doubled down on her stance against her accused perpetrators and the institutions she claims failed to act.
Last night in my floor speech, I placed my hand on this Bible and I swore, “to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God…

Political Context and Trump Relationship
Mace’s high-profile speech adds another chapter to her complex political trajectory. Once a supporter of President Trump, she distanced herself following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, criticizing his actions while stopping short of voting for impeachment. Trump later endorsed her primary challenger in 2022, but Mace prevailed and has since mended ties with the president.
By 2024, Mace had reendorsed Trump in the Republican presidential primary, and in return, Trump praised her efforts in South Carolina, endorsing her reelection bid. His endorsement cited her record on securing the border, supporting veterans and defending the Second Amendment.
