Millions of taxpayer dollars have been allocated for highly controversial and questionable transgender surgeries and hormone treatments on animals, as revealed by the House Oversight Committee this week. A staggering $241 million was spent on these experiments, which primarily involved mice, rats, and monkeys being subjected to hormone therapies and surgeries mimicking gender transitions. To make matters worse, these experiments were approved under the leadership of former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director, Dr. Anthony Fauci.
The revelation has sparked outrage among taxpayers and lawmakers alike. “Insane, right?” House Oversight Committee Chairman Eli Crane (R-AZ) remarked when confirming the report. Given the lack of transparency and the ethical concerns surrounding such experiments, this misuse of taxpayer funds raises serious questions about accountability within the federal government.
The experiments often included invasive surgeries, including genital mutilation, as well as testing how the animals responded to vaccines and other treatments after undergoing hormone therapy. These studies, which attempt to model gender transitions in animals, also examined the effects on animal behavior, size, and physiological changes after being subjected to hormone treatments.
One particularly egregious example of this research included a $1.1 million grant to give female lab rats testosterone, not only to simulate a male-to-female gender transition but also to overdose the rats with a “party drug” to observe whether hormone therapy made them more likely to overdose. This bizarre experiment raises significant ethical concerns about both the waste of taxpayer money and the cruelty inflicted on these animals for such unsubstantiated experiments.
The findings about these experiments come from White Coat Waste Project (WCW), a taxpayer watchdog organization that has been tirelessly uncovering wasteful and unnecessary government spending on animal testing. Senior Vice President of Advocacy and Public Policy at WCW, Justin Goodman, testified that the $241 million spent on transgender animal testing was likely only the “floor” of these experiments, suggesting that the true costs could be even higher.
Goodman also highlighted the difficulty in tracking such funding, pointing out that the federal spending databases are so opaque that navigating them requires a specialized skill set. “You essentially need a degree in Information Technology to navigate the federal spending databases to find any of this stuff,” Goodman stated, emphasizing the lack of transparency.
This led Chairman Eli Crane to ask, “So what you found is we’re not being very transparent with what we’re spending these funds on?” Goodman’s response was clear: “Not at all, and it’s by design.”
Further compounding the controversy, Goodman testified that Dr. Fauci’s NIAID was responsible for funding approximately 95 percent of the transgender animal experiments. Under Fauci’s leadership, federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), provided taxpayer money to university labs across the country to carry out these invasive surgeries and hormone therapies on lab animals. The lack of oversight, combined with the ethical issues surrounding these experiments, has left many questioning the priorities of the agencies involved.

And, please, don’t respond by declaring it’s not the Constitution’s fault but rather today’s renegade presidents, legislators, and judges. Just how do you suppose America’s ended up with such civil “leaders,” in the first place? Could it have something to do with Article 6’s Christian test ban by which mandatory biblical qualifications (such as Exodus 18:21) for civil leaders were also eliminated?
That’s right, if not for Article 6’s Christian test ban no one would have ever heard of Biden, Harris, Pelosi, AOC, the Clintons, or any of their fellow Swamp Crocodiles, disguised as both Donkeys and Elephants.

Gender transition is a very personal decision and financial responsibility should be solely the expense of the individual — not taxpayers, Taxpayers could use this money more in their pockets than in experimentation for such issues which only apply to a very small percentage of our citizenry.
