Trump Needs Erik Prince’s Proposed ‘Private Army’ For Mass Deportations

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent acknowledged Wednesday that he threatened to “kick ass” during a heated confrontation last year, while firmly denying reports that he threatened to punch the now-acting Director of National Intelligence “in the face.”

The unusual exchange emerged during a Senate Finance Committee hearing, where Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) pressed Bessent about reports surrounding a confrontation between the two Trump administration officials during the summer of 2025.

According to Bessent, one key detail in the widely circulated account was inaccurate.

While he denied threatening.

President Donald Trump wants to deport up to 12 million illegal aliens in the next four years. Ideally, that could be done in just two years, before the 2026 midterm elections. But there’s one major obstacle to that ambitious plan.

The problem is the U.S. government, even using a whole-of-government approach touted by Trump and aided by local authorities, simply doesn’t have the manpower or resources to conduct the largest mass deportation in U.S. history, at least not in the timeframe desired.

Enter Erik Prince, the ultra-conservative Trump ally, ex-Navy SEAL and founder of Blackwater, the global private military firm made infamous in the Iraq War.

Prince, Bill Mathews, the former chief operating officer of Blackwater and a prominent group of military contractors is hoping the Trump White House will use their proposed “private army” to help the government carry out mass deportations.

Described in a 26-page white paper provided to Trump’s team prior to his inauguration by a new special entity called 2USV, the proposal is extremely ambitious.

It would require deputizing 10,000 private citizens, including military veterans, former law enforcement officials and retired Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs Border Patrol (CBP) officers, giving them expedited training and the same federal law enforcement powers of immigration officials.

The document says that the trained border deputies would be under ICE command.

It recommends using a network of “processing camps” on military bases, a private fleet of 100 planes, and a “small army” of private citizens deputized to make arrests. The goal being to deport “nearly 500,000 illegal aliens per month,” to remove 12 million illegals in two years.

That would allow a 600% increase in deportations over what the government is currently achieving. The group estimates the plan would cost $25 billion to execute, not an unreasonable sum for the effort.

As Trump shows his frustration with the rate of deportations, this plan looks increasingly more appealing. But the proposal has a lot of its own problems.

As Politico reports:

Top White House officials are having multiple conversations with military contractors, coinciding with Republicans’ mad dash on Capitol Hill to secure more resources for the president’s immigration crackdown. Immigration and Customs Enforcement increased arrests during Trump’s first couple of weeks in office, but the pace has since slowed, and arrests do not always equal deportations. The pressure campaign to rapidly increase the president’s deportation numbers has already resulted in the reassigning of top immigration officials as the administration faces a number of resource challenges, including a need for detention capacity and additional personnel.

“People want this stood up quickly, and understand the government is always very slow to do things,” said Steve Bannon, who served in Trump’s first term, remains close to the president and is aware of the proposal. “It’s smart to start bidding out right now and get a feel for what else outside companies, contractors can do.”

Still, as Politico adds:

…the pitch for rapid-fire deportations includes a slew of suggestions that appear to ignore key facets of the nation’s complex immigration laws, according to three former immigration and government officials who reviewed the proposal… The proposal recommends the formation of a screening team of 2,000 attorneys and paralegals — one of the several elements designed to streamline functions that would normally be in the government’s hands. The team would determine whether individuals are eligible for deportation and refer them to the litigation team, for which the proposals recommend an additional 2,000 attorneys and paralegals to conduct mass hearings.

“To work through the deportation process expeditiously, 2USV recommends that the government conduct mass deportation hearings,” the document says, outlining a new legal process that hasn’t been tested in the courts.

There are a slew of other issues complicating Prince’s proposal, many of which I will detail later, but many aspects of the plan have potential and should be considered by Trump.

Fulfilling his promise of the largest mass deportation in U.S. history will take more than just the government.

THE QUESTION OF “DEPORTATION/HOUSING CAPACITY” STRIKES ME AS SOMETHING THAT HAS NOT BEEN THOUGHT OUT FULLY!! WE HAVE MANY CLOSED MILITARY BASE SITES!! WHY ARE THEY NOT REOPENING PORTIONS OF THESE BASES TO HOUSE UNTIL THEY ARE DEPORTED?! MAKES COMMON SENSE TO ME!!!!!
I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE VOLUNTEER OF PEOPLE TO AID AND ASSIST WITH THE CAPTURE AND FUTURE DEPORTATION!!! HOW ABOUT HAVING ROVING AGENTS FROM THE CITIZEN MEMBERS OF COMMUNITIES TO VET WHAT APPEARS AS ILLEGALS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES?

    A-Jay

Many time the commentaries written about illegals enables such a harsh demeaning connotation of hostility against many aliens that’s its unforgiving in the vicious swipe. I’ve encountered some of these so-called undesirable aliens and found them to be decent people well worth legal residency in their new desired homeland, but they are strangled by red tape and hostility from some unforgiving sources. History has shown and subsequently demonstrated that these immigrant men and women who have colonized America and made the USA the great nation it is today, deserve a welcoming outreach when and where legally and morally possible. We need these hard-working credibel people as much as they need us. I hope and pray. for the good and betterment of all concerned that this dilemma can be amicably resolved.

IT DID NOT TAKE 2 YEARS FOR THE MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS TO GET HERE ,SO WHY 2 MYEARS TO DEPORT THEM? YOUICAN FIND THEM BEFORE YOU KNOW IT BY PLACING A REWARD FOR EACH ILLEGAL THEY CAN EXPOSE AS TO WHERE THEY ARE. IT WOULD BE CHEAPER IN LONG RUN THAN HAVING TO SEARCH AND DEPORT.. RESULTS WOULD BE FASTER AND THAT WAY LARGE NUMBERS COULD BE DEPORTED AT ONCE.. I AM SURE THE AMERICAN PATRIOTS WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP LOCATE AND DEPORT FOR REWARDS.

    Deplorable Mark

No, and hell no! All we need is fuel for the lefties’ declining fire. And my instinct is that this plan is illegal. And Bannon…

    We gotta get it done.
12 million illegals removed would save much more in one year than it cost.
Ending the cheap labor only hurts the corrupt Establishment Elites.
Less demand for goods will lower prices
Less crowded hospitals by non paying illegals will lower cost and improve service. The same with schools and welfare.
Less crowed highways by removing uninsured drivers and less crime would be a blessing for US Citizens.

For several years, I have distributed a single page GEORGIA MILITIA TODAY. The Militia Act of 1903 has stood the time since then with minor word changes. My platoon is formed with a dozen or more neighbors, to cover our mile long rural street. Commanded by a retired Commissioned Officer; veteran NCOs are trainers and support with logistics and recruitment; (all males 18 – 45 are required to be a part ). Teenaged talent with drones and radio communication skills provide our aerial intelligence. Our chain of command is with the County Sheriff. We maintain a casual watch at our Precinct Voting Location to augment the Sheriff’s Deputies twice visits to each of the Counties 36 Precincts, during the 13 hours. Deputized Militia members also can be called upon to assist elementary and middle schools where our children attend.
Our High school graduates, children of our veterans, often enlist in either National Guard or active Armed Forces, and much like our JROTC high school grads, can achieve advanced rank, following boot camp.
