In what is yet another case of “we told you so,” an avowed support of Hamas and Hezbollah terrorism, who most recently attended the funeral for Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, and earlier received an award in Tehran, has now been shown to have been key to inciting violent anti-Jewish rioting at Columbia University in New York City last year.
And this was at the invitation of Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD)—the Ivy League school’s most notorious anti-Semitic student group.
Last spring Charlotte Kates was instructing Columbia students on “Palestinian resistance” tactics.
Her husband, Khaled Barakat, a PFLP member also delivered speeches on “the fight for liberation,” as part of a lecture titled “Palestinian Resistance 101.” Soon after the event Columbia student radicals launched the well-orchestrated anti-Israel encampment on campus and later stormed a campus building.
In October the U.S. government sanctioned Kates and her husband, and their group the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, for providing financial support to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terror group that participated in the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

Meanwhile, as the Free Beacon reported:
“The fact is that October 7 changed the world … we saw the potential of a future for Palestine liberated from Zionism,” Kates told a group of keffiyeh-clad Columbia students during her March 24 speech.
She also praised Iran—Hezbollah’s backer—as “a nation on the side of the Palestinian people, intervening and building a movement of resistance to free this entire region … from U.S. imperialism.” She advocated for a campaign to eliminate America’s list of designated terror organizations.
“It is important to popularize campaigns to … scrap the U.S. terror list entirely, or at the very least to get Palestinian, Lebanese, Yemeni, Filipino, and other revolutionary organizations off the terror list,” Kates said. “Because that’s a weapon that’s being used against the Palestinian people, against the Arab people, and against the solidarity movement as a whole, and in order to kind of fundamentally deform the politics of the movement.”
In August, Kates traveled to Tehran where Iran awarded her the “Eighth Annual Islamic Human Rights and Human Dignity Award.” Other recipients included Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh and Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a U.S.-designated terror group.
As the Free Beacon explained, during his own lecture at Columbia, Barakat openly endorsed terrorism celebrating airplane hijackings as “one of the most important tactics that the Palestinian resistance have engaged in.” This appears to be a regular theme among these pro-Palestinian groups at Columbia.
In October, an English professor and member of the university’s top disciplinary body, gave a lecture that also celebrated a string of terrorist plane hijackings as “spectacular” and “remarkable.”
Despite all this, the Beacon notes, CUAD has continued its efforts to openly terrorize the Columbia campus and its Jewish students and faculty. Last month, its radicals poured cement into a building’s sewage system. A week earlier, its pro-terror rioters stormed an Israeli history class targeting Jewish students with anti-Semitic flyers.
It is time to end the madness.
The Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department and FBI must act now using all legal means available to detain and/or deport these two terror lovers, and end all support for terrorism on U.S. campuses, as well as anywhere else in the country.

Each protester should be investigated. Those who are here on Student Visa’s should have the Visa revoked and they should be expelled from the Universities, those that don’t go to school there should receive a no tresspass warning. This that are students and are citizens and on a scholarship should lose the scholarship. Those who pay their own way and find it necessary to get involved in protests and poltics should receive a suspension after being warned the rist time that an involement like this again will activate either a suspension or a temination of their higher education at that facility.
All involved must be thrown out and never allowed in any schools colleges, universities, hospitals, for life, and banned from ever having any security clearance for life, and those that are not American Citizens,must be Deported Immediately, No Exceptions, No Excuses, any that are American Citizens, they need Find very high fines, and possibly prison sentences, this is America a Free Country, that you don’t have the right to attack anyone because of color, race, religion, gender, they have the same rights as you this is America and we need to make sure we are all safe,sound, and able to pursue justice, Happiness, by Our Constitution as Written, anyone trying to Destroy, Twist, Denounce, Ignore, Our Constitution as Written, must be tried for Treason some even removed from this Country Citizenship’s Revoked for life, including politicians, judges, lawyers, military, police, governors, mayors, and administration officials
