Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

Kashyap “Kash” Patel, the newly appointed FBI Director, has drawn scrutiny within the bureau after a series of actions and decisions that suggest a lack of trust in the agency he was handpicked to lead. His recent behavior, including demanding loyalty tests and extensive vetting of FBI staff, has raised eyebrows among critics and fueled concerns about his ability to lead an agency that is expected to remain independent from political pressures.

These tests are reportedly designed to ensure that FBI personnel align with Patel’s vision and have been thoroughly vetted. Some have raised alarms that Patel’s approach could politicize the agency and damage its reputation for impartiality, though others argue that the FBI’s role in numerous high profile investigations involving Trump had long destroyed any illusions of neutrality.

Patel reportedly inquired about hiring his own private security detail shortly after his Senate confirmation in February. Although FBI directors are typically assigned a team of agents tasked with ensuring their safety, Patel’s request suggests that he is unwilling to place his trust in his own agency’s security personnel.

Additionally, Patel wants to secure a direct phone line to the Oval Office, bypassing the traditional chain of command, signaling a potential disregard for the established practices of the FBI. Typically, the FBI director would contact the president through the Attorney General, insinuating a degree of separation between the bureau and the White House.

Despite concerns about Patel’s leadership, recent revelations from former Border Czar Tom Homan lend credibility to his approach. Homan publicly shared that leakers within the FBI had been identified as responsible for sabotaging crucial immigration raids. The concerns raised by Homan about disloyalty within the FBI provide context for Patel’s aggressive strategy to reshape the bureau and ensuring that its personnel align with the administration’s goals. These allegations underscore the broader issue of trust within the agency, reinforcing Patel’s desire for stricter oversight and greater control.

Patel, a former prosecutor and national security advisor during Trump’s administration, has long been a figure of controversy due to his outspoken support for Trump and his vocal criticism of the FBI and the “deep state,” or the entrenched and unelected shadow government.

Critics insist that Patel’s leadership style could compromise the integrity and independence of the FBI, though it has already come under fire in recent years due to its handling of politically sensitive investigations.

Throughout his career, he has been characterized as a conspiracy theorist. Patel authored a children’s picture book about the 2020 election, implying that the results were fraudulent. His unwavering support for Trump and his bold, unapologetic views have made him a polarizing figure — beloved by the President and his supporters and feared by his opposition.

Reports suggest that Patel has attempted to fire FBI agents involved in investigations related to Trump. However, this has faced significant legal pushback, raising questions about Patel’s motives. Some argue that despite accusations of politicizing the agency, Patel seeks to purge the agency of the left-wing political activists already within their ranks, anticipating sabotage of his leadership.

As Patel continues to navigate his role as FBI Director, questions remain about how his leadership will affect the agency’s ability to carry out its mission. The FBI has long been entrusted with upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice, and to critics Patel’s actions will jeopardize that, while others believe he’s doing what’s necessary to restore the agency to its original intent.

He is exactly right not to trust anyone in the FBI. That agency has been infiltrated and completely compromised. Removing the heads won’t work because even the rank and file are corrupt as evidenced by none of them calling out the Comey/Strzok cabal and their crimes.

President Trump needs to give full support to KASH PATEL, that agency is full of prejudice against CONSERVATIVES, AND THEY VERY MUCH LIKE TO SET ON THEIR ASSES.

Kash Patel is correct about both concerns; the backstabbing, and the security. The entire 7th floor needs to be eliminated, why? Because all corruption cannot be tolerated unless it comes from the top; Serpico. Then promote those below, but stipulate that disloyalty will be quickly addressed and eliminated.
This reminds me of Monty Python’s take on board meetings. Two men are seated by a window. Suddenly a body passes by their window. One exclaims to the other, “Did you see that? And there goes another one.” To which the other replied, “It is probably a board meeting.” As soon as another passes by they recognize the man and begin taking bets, who will be next.

Sorry to hear this because I believe Kash is a good man but I also think the same about the many agents who their lives in jeopardy for the goof of the country.

If this article didn’t have a hard-left slant to it, there wouldn’t be much article there at all. It sounds like the DNC wrote it.

There is no doubt about the political bias that has taken place within the FBI and other agencies of high security. Kash is providing another bias that is necessary to remove the corruption that took place in the FBI. “No corruption can be tolerated unless it comes from the top.” Serpico

Yeah Kash, you should just trust the FBI. They have never ever done anything that would warrant your distrust. Only a few things like persecution of Trump, J6ers, pro-lifers, parents at school board meetings, etc. etc. etc. Failure to prosecute Jeff Epstein, the women’s Olympic gymnast trainer, Hillary Clinton, etc. etc. etc. the Peter Strzok emails, the Comer Trump honeypot op, etc. etc. etc.

On second thought Kash, burn it to the ground!
