Go DOGE Go: New Bill Seeks To Make DOGE Cuts Permanent

The opportunities for taxpayer savings identified by Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” would become permanent law under a new bill filed in Congress.

U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) reports she has introduced legislation “that would formally codify the measures initiated by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) into law.”

“The bill, if enacted, would ensure that all reforms, regulatory changes, or cost-saving measures issued by DOGE have the full force and effect of law. Additionally, it mandates that the reforms implemented by DOGE will remain in effect unless modified by DOGE or an act of Congress,” Luna reports.

“For the first time in decades, we are seeing a successful effort to save valuable taxpayer dollars from the federal government’s rampant waste, fraud, and abuse,” said Luna. “My legislation will ensure that Americans can continue to enjoy a more efficient government and less burdensome regulatory environment. The American people deserve no less!”

“Club for Growth applauds Rep. Luna’s efforts to ensure that DOGE’s efforts can continue to save taxpayer dollars,” said David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth. “We encourage all conservatives to support this commonsense legislation.”

“DOGE estimates that it has saved U.S. taxpayers more than $160 billion since January of this year,” Luna notes.
