Trump Shifts Strategy After Senate Pushback
Ed Martin has emerged as a pivotal figure in President Donald Trump’s Justice Department after his nomination to serve as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia was abruptly withdrawn. The decision followed bipartisan criticism citing Martin’s overt partisanship and his vocal support for Jan. 6 defendants.
But rather than sidelining the conservative lawyer, Trump appointed Martin to a trio of influential DOJ roles that do not require Senate confirmation — vastly expanding his authority and reach.
The Daily Wire has additional details following an exclusive interview with Martin:
Martin has been given an arguably more prestigious placement: he’ll now serve as the director of the Justice Department’s “Weaponization Working Group,” as well as associate deputy attorney general and pardon attorney at the Justice Department.
“I never expected six months ago that Donald J. Trump would be talking about Ed Martin with such familiarity,” he added. “I had met him a few times, but now you know, ‘He’s a good guy, Ed’s a good guy.’ That’s kind of shake-your-head, surreal, but awfully kind of him.”

“I’m excited to go over to lead the weaponization working group, but we’ve already been working on that in our office,” he noted. He’s had experience with pardons, since President Trump pardoned almost 1,600 J6-ers and over 30 pro-life activists targeted by the previous administration, as well as some police officers.
And he’s excited to follow through on the president’s promise to end the weaponization of government. Martin noted that the American people greatly distrust what’s going on in Washington, given many of the events of the last four years, and he argued that the first thing “we have to do is to let the sunshine in and let people see what went on.”
“One of the ways is just to name them — name and shame them — but also to prosecute as much as we can,” Martin told The Daily Wire. “And the last thing we have to do is heal people.”
Martin also expressed frustration to The Daily Wire over the failure of his nomination, saying he believes he would have been confirmed if Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) had not opposed his candidacy.
“I was surprised — and I think the president was too — that Thom Tillis took the position he took,” he said. “I believe we had the votes if we could get to the floor, I really do… I was confident we could make an argument, but ultimately, Thom Tillis decided it was the stand he wanted to make, for reasons that defy good sense to me.” (RELATED: Bondi Must Act: Restoring Law And Order At Key Facilities)
Tillis had expressed clear reservations about Martin’s defense of individuals involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
“Most of my concerns related to January 6th,” Tillis said, emphasizing that he had “no tolerance for anybody who entered the building on January the 6th.” He further remarked that Martin’s support for blanket pardons for those who breached the Capitol was a significant point of contention. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Tillis’ opposition was pivotal. His stance threatened to deadlock the committee’s vote, effectively stalling Martin’s confirmation. As a result, Trump withdrew Martin’s nomination, citing a lack of sufficient support in the Senate.
Tillis is up for reelection next year, unless he chooses to retire.
Executive Order 14147: The Legal Backbone
Martin’s work is grounded in Executive Order 14147 — Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government — signed by Trump on Day One of his return to office. The directive requires federal agency heads to identify and remedy past political abuses under prior administrations.

I have never (almost never) read such a pseudo-scientific analysis. First, the purpose of graphological analysis is to asses some psychologicall characteristics of a person under question. In this case, the authors and two “specialists” tried, unsuccessfully, to explain the specifics of Trump’s signature based on perceived psychological characteristics of President Trump, who is exceptionally open to scrutiny. So, this is wrong scientifically. Secondly, I’d be more receptive to the opinions of these two fulls if the HuffPost authors provided real proof of their expertise. For example, how many right and wrong analyses were there when they described unknown persons based on their signatures? I’d give them some credit if it is something like 60% to 40%. Otherwise, these two, and this is my analysis based on their verbal expressions, are just regular left-wing pandits with incurable TDS.
The deep State and Lemming democrats taht follow it are doing nothing but digging themselves a deeper and deeper hole that it will be nearly impossible to climb out of as their actions are being discovered and exposed to the voting public every day. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer didn’t create all these problems all on their own, they were but following orders from different sorces such as New World Order, Deep State, and other megga wealthy individuals, families and organizations who’s goals were to minupulate the truth, bend or eliminate or create laws against us, limiting our natural order and futures. Some groups of people have been lied to in order to give them the idea that the world owes them while others are blamed for anything from crimes of today which were legal business opportunites 250 year ago. Todays population is not to blame, its the undesireable influence these supper wealthy have on the information and constant barage of misinformation, desire to use other to create caios, and plan to lower the population to save resurces for the NWO through wars both domestic and abroad that are the problem. Look at the wealthiest families in just the USA, but remember they exist all around the world who are all trying to create adversity through their minupulation to prevent the masses from really finding out what their main goals are. The USA is controlled through our Congress, both House and Senate, who in the recent past has been simply bought and paid for. Proof is in their arrogance while in office for decades, their unexplainable wealth building of not hundres of thousands of dollars but in millions of dollars to assure specific outcomes for who, us……..not hardly. How does any legislative individual making a certain salary as a Congressional member accumulate wealth into the Hundreds of Millions of dollars beyond the total salaries they have earned. Its called graft and corruption. When caught red handed they moan and groan and beg for mercy. It should never be given as THEY were the ones that chose that route, they should be able to explain every dollar of their wealth, and they chose to sell us out for personal gain, almost treasonous. Now comes along a new person to guide the good ship America and he already has his wealth and cannot be bought, guess what the NWO does, they create adversity, they fight him, they accuse him, they try to impeach him, they do anything in their power to get him out of their march to rule the world. The NWO has their armys of followers who can be bought for money, and they do what appears to be protests against common since. They create obsertity, scare tactics, and even violations of the law and bend the Constitutional Rights of citizens, they bring in the caios to tax not themselves but citizens who are tasked with taking care of “ILLEGAL” immigrants by UnConstitutionally requiring us through our taxes to provide transportation, food, housing, medical, education, and spending money while these people committed their first crime against the legal citizens of the USA as soon as they stepped on American soil illegally, to assault, robbery, tresspassing, personal injuries, and yes even murder. Why do you thing our present POTUS is trying so hard to remove them all from the USA. Now ask why our Poltiicians are trying to prevent their repatrioting them to their own nations so much. Thats easy, they are being paid by those who want different, they need these people to over tax our welfare systems, now in excess of our national defense budget, in order to weaken our Nation so they can create more laws and rules, change our Judiciary to legislate from the bench rather than following current law, to prevent the common man from exercising his rights as an American as defined by the Constitution of the United States of American and our Bill of Rights.
Thom Tillis is a traitor to conservatives and the Republican Party. He needs to be gotten rid of.
