Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Saturday that the Department of Justice has officially dropped all charges against Dr. Kirk Moore, a Utah plastic surgeon indicted in 2023 for allegedly distributing fraudulent COVID-19 vaccine cards and destroying federally provided vaccines.
The decision ends a nearly two-year legal battle that saw Moore, a veteran and private physician, facing up to 20 years in prison under charges brought by the Biden-era DOJ.
“At my direction, @TheJusticeDept has dismissed charges against Dr. Kirk Moore,” Bondi wrote on X. “Dr. Moore gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused to do so. He did not deserve the years in prison he was facing. It ends today.”
“The charges were filed under Biden’s DOJ, not Trump,” Greene said. “The Covid vaccine kills and injures people, but this brave doctor, who is a veteran by the way, is being prosecuted for helping people avoid tyrannical vaccine mandates under Democrats.”
Even Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. weighed in this past April, saying on X: “Dr. Moore deserves a medal for his courage and his commitment to healing!”
Dr. Moore was indicted in January 2023 by a federal grand jury in Salt Lake City alongside three alleged co-conspirators. Prosecutors accused the group of conspiring to:
- Destroy more than $28,000 worth of federally supplied COVID-19 vaccine doses
- Falsify over 1,900 CDC vaccination cards
- Accept payments—both in cash and charitable “donations”—for issuing the fake documentation
- Inject minors with saline solution in place of the vaccine at their parents’ request
The DOJ under the Biden administration charged Moore with conspiracy to defraud the government; conspiracy to convert, sell, convey and dispose of government property; and aiding and abetting in those efforts. Officials argued the scheme undermined public health and vaccine integrity at a critical moment in the pandemic.
But supporters of Moore said the doctor was simply honoring patient choice at a time when vaccine mandates were widespread across workplaces, schools, and even some houses of worship.
The dismissal reflects a broader philosophical shift under the Trump Department of Justice, now led by Bondi.
While the DOJ did not confirm whether Moore will be eligible for restitution or legal fees, his legal team celebrated the announcement.
Critics of the dismissal argue that tampering with public health documentation, regardless of intent, sets a dangerous precedent. But for many of his supporters, Moore’s case represents moral resistance against gross overreach and breaches of medical freedom during the pandemic.

How much government is too much? Lefties want the federal government to be all-powerful….when they hold the power.
I didn’t take it for a number of reasons, first one being that MY EMPLOYER should NEVER be allowed to TELL ME what I put into my body. What is wrong with everyone that they would think this was ok? Would you also let your employer dictate that you have an abortion? You wouldn’t put up with your employer telling you what to have for LUNCH! WTH is wrong with people??
