New Poll Claims Republicans Troubled By Trump’s Handling Of Epstein Documents. Do You Believe It?

A new Pew Research Center poll finds that President Donald Trump’s decision to not release an alleged “client list” by deceased child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, after previously promising to do so, is eroding his support among Republicans.

According to Pew, “Seven-in-ten Americans disapprove of the Trump administration’s handling of information related to the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, while 25% approve.”

“GOP views are fairly divided (53% disapprove of the administration’s handling, while 44% approve), with disapproval higher among younger Republicans than older Republicans,” Pew notes, adding “Democrats overwhelmingly express disapproval (90%).”

“Most Americans also distrust what the administration is saying about the Epstein issue: 63% say they have little or no trust in what the administration is saying, including 88% of Democrats and 38% of Republicans. About a quarter of Republicans say they trust a great deal or fair amount of what the administration is saying (34% say they trust some of what it is saying),” Pew reports.

It’s the latest in a series of polling finding Americans do not support Trump’s apparent reversal

An Emerson College Polling survey “found 51 percent said they disapprove of the administration’s handling of the Epstein files, while 16 percent approve and a third said they’re neutral. The results come as Trump has struggled to turn the page on the controversy that has lingered for a few weeks since the Justice Department (DOJ) indicated it wouldn’t release additional files related to the case,” The Hill reports.

“The Emerson results are in line with other findings from polls such as Reuters-Ipsos and Quinnipiac University that have found majorities of voters disapproving of Trump’s handling of the files,” The Hill reports.
