Fox News, the nation’s most-watched cable news network, is making several high-profile weekend programming shifts this fall—underscoring its continued dominance over competitors and its ability to build loyal audiences in a changing media landscape.
New Show to Replace Media Buzz
A new program hosted by Steve Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich, titled The Sunday Briefing, will debut on September 20. The show will rotate Doocy and Heinrich as hosts and take over the time slot previously held by Howard Kurtz’s Media Buzz.
For the past 12 years, Media Buzz stood out as a leading program for media analysis, consistently finishing at the top of ratings. While Kurtz will continue with the network as a contributor and as host of the Media Buzz podcast, Fox is moving forward with fresh weekend programming designed to capture even broader audiences.
Strengthening Weekend Lineup
Fox is also expanding The Big Weekend Show, which will now air from 5:00–8:00 PM ET on both Saturdays and Sundays. Tomi Lahren and Johnny “Joey” Jones have been tapped as permanent co-hosts, marking a shift from the previous rotating panel format. Both Lahren and Jones bring strong followings—Lahren from her successful Tomi Lahren Is Fearless on OutKick, and Jones through his long-standing work at Fox News with a focus on military and veterans’ issues.
McEnany Gets Solo Platform

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, a favorite among conservatives, will now host her own weekend program. Saturday in America will air from 10:00 a.m. to noon ET, giving her a solo platform after three years as a co-host on Fox’s highly rated midday program Outnumbered. This move reflects Fox’s recognition of her popularity and ability to connect with viewers across the country.
Weekend Mornings Reinforced
Veteran Fox News anchor Griff Jenkins is joining Fox & Friends Weekend as a co-host alongside Charlie Hurt and Rachel Campos-Duffy. Jenkins, who has decades of experience with the network, is expected to further strengthen the weekend morning ratings powerhouse.
Continuing Ratings Leadership

These changes highlight Fox News’ unmatched position in cable news, as it continues to attract larger audiences than rivals CNN and MSNBC. While competitors have scaled back on programming—CNN canceled its Reliable Sources media show in 2022—Fox continues to expand, refresh, and invest in talent to serve its dedicated viewership.
