Arizona Democratic Sen. Ruben Gallego is launching an effort to challenge a new Trump Administration immigration policy that could require many green card applicants to leave the United States and complete the process abroad.

According to a report from The Hill, Gallego is not only seeking to overturn the policy itself but is also pursuing a procedural strategy that could make it easier for Congress to reverse the change.

The dispute revolves around a recent U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) policy affecting how certain immigrants obtain lawful permanent residency.

From bad to worse…

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) apologized to another politician for “incorrectly” quoting him on Thursday, the same week it apologized to President Donald Trump.

The BBC deleted a social media post and issued an apology to independent MP Rupert Lowe after it “incorrectly” quoted one of his speeches in Parliament.

“This post corrects an earlier post, which incorrectly quoted Rupert Lowe,” the BBC declared. “This correction supersedes a previous clarification. We apologise to Mr Lowe for the error.”

In his own statement, Lowe wrote, “With today’s BBC apology to me, impressively that’s now three apologies/corrections over their disgraceful coverage of me in just four months. Three times they’ve had to admit they got it wrong. Always, curiously, in the same direction.”

“Let’s see what Trump can extract from them – I wish him well. I hope he goes for a billion,” Lowe continued. “The BBC isn’t just biased. It’s institutionally biased. Seeped in an ideology that despises traditional Britain.”

He concluded, “The answer is simple: Defund it. End the licence fee. If that means the BBC can’t survive, then so be it. Remove the crutch. Let’s see how it gets on. I don’t care anymore. I have one word for the BBC. DEFUND.”

The BBC issued its apology just one day after Lowe called the U.K. state media company a “national disgrace” for posting “an entirely false quote.”

This week, the BBC also issued an apology to Trump over an “error of judgment” in an edit of his Jan. 6, 2021, remarks, which resulted in the president threatening to sue the company for $1 billion.

BBC Director General Tim Davie and News chief Deborah Turness resigned from the company in the wake of Trump’s complaint.

On Thursday, the British broadcaster BBC formally apologized to the White House for the way it edited a clip of President Trump’s speech on Jan. 6, 2021 — the day of the Capitol attack. The apology comes just days after President Trump’s legal team threatened the BBC with a $1 billion lawsuit over the segment, which appeared in a documentary.

According to a BBC spokesperson, “Lawyers for the BBC have written to President Trump’s legal team in response to a letter received on Sunday.” The BBC added: “Chair [Samir Shah] has separately sent a personal letter to the White House making clear to President Trump that he and the Corporation are sorry for the edit of the President’s speech on 6 January 2021, which featured in the programme.” The BBC has also confirmed that there are no plans to rebroadcast the documentary Trump: A Second Chance? on any of its platforms.

The broadcaster acknowledged that “the way the speech was edited did give the impression of a direct call for violent action,” and referred to it as “an error in judgement.” The BBC nonetheless stated that it strongly disagrees with the notion that there is a valid defamation claim.

The specific clip in question showed Trump saying to his rally crowd: “We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and I’ll be there with you. And we fight. We fight like hell.” A fuller official transcript and video, however, show that Trump also told his supporters to march “peacefully and patriotically” to the Capitol.

THIS WILL SHOW A PATTERN OF THE BBC;s VICIOUS ATTACKS and WILL BOLSTER PRESIDENT TRUMPS LAWSUIT AGAINST HIM. I HOPE and PRAY THE BBC WILL HAVE TO “PAY DEARLY MONEY WISE” FOR THEIR HATEFUL ACTIONS!!!!!!!!

TO CLARIFY MY STATEMENT. PRESIDENT’S TRUMP’S LAWSUIT AGAINST THE BBC’S VICIOUS ATTACKS SHOW IT IS A PATTERN USED BY THEM TO LIE and DISPARAGE OTHERS and ONCE THE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE, APOLOGIZE AS THEY DID WITH MR.LOWE. AGAIN, TO SHOW THE BBC and OTHERS WHO WOULD USE THE SAME TACTICS, THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES TO DELIBERATELY LIE and SLANDER ANYONE, THERE WILL BE A HEFTY PRICE TO PAY MONEY WISE and REPUTATION WISE. I REPEAT: SHUT THEM ALL DOWN!!!!!
