President Trump is calling Democrat congressional representatives, all veterans of the military or intelligence community, who openly urged U.S. troops and spooks to disobey what they call “unlawful” orders, “seditious,” and suggested they be arrested and tried for sedition.
“It’s called SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL,” Trump’s Truth Social post read.
“Each one of these traitors to our Country should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL.”
“SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH,” Trump said in another post.
In later remarks, Trump downplayed the death sentence comments, saying he wasn’t threatening them, just noting how sedition was dealt with in the old days.
Despite the Democrat and media outcry, and my strong doubts that anyone should be executed over this, Trump is otherwise right that their actions are seditious. Maybe not according to the letter of the law in the U.S. Code on sedition, but definitely the spirit.
These Democrats are, however, effectively inciting mutiny in the armed forces by urging troops to disobey orders the lawmakers believe are unlawful. And this is a violation of U.S. military law. Remember, most of these Democrats were in the military, some were in the intelligence community.
In a video posted to social media, these seditious Democrat lawmakers said that the Trump administration was pitting the military and intelligence community against American citizens.
“You must refuse illegal orders,” representatives said in the video. “No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution.”
The video was made by Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (D-N.H.), Representative Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.), and Congressman Jason Crow (D-Colo).
While they are correct on the face of it, troops have a duty to disobey “manifestly illegal” orders, Democrat representatives are not authorized to designate orders as unlawful, or unconstitutional. Otherwise, any order they disagree with would be called unlawful, which is exactly what they are now doing.
None of the Democrats specified what “unlawful” or “unconstitutional” meant, leaving most troops scratching their heads, as to what their point was.
Considering the current debate over military strikes against drug boats, though, it’s clear they are implying troops should be questioning, and even disobeying, their orders related to these strikes.
In this case, these Democrat lawmakers appear to be pulling at a thread created by an NBC News report published Nov. 20 that said that the senior military lawyer for Southern Command expressed his opinion that the strikes were unlawful in August, a month before they began.
His opinion was overruled, however, by officials at the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel.
As Military.com reported:
Service members are required to abide by lawful orders and disobey unlawful orders, according to Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the U.S. Manual for Courts-Martial.
Troops that follow an illegal order can be court-martialed and prosecuted.
But according to Sam Howard, a retired Navy captain and former surface warfare officer who commanded three vessels, many service members aren’t privy to the legality of their actions.
“No one at the tactical level is, quite frankly, informed well enough to be able to make that final determination,” Howard told Military Times. “Surely, there are matters of conscience and things like that that go with that. But I think that’s a different story, right?”
Commanders, Howard explained, if ordered to launch a missile at a faraway target, would be far removed from the legal opinion that goes with that decision.
Democrats are framing their incitement to mutiny as simply reminding troops of their duty to uphold the Constitution and to disobey unlawful orders, but in this climate where Democrats are calling everything the Trump administration does illegal, unconstitutional, or violating international law and the laws of war, they are on very thin ice.
In this context, what they have done can be classified as mutiny and sedition under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) (Article 94).
It is punishable by severe penalties, which can include imprisonment for a substantial period, a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of pay, and potentially the death penalty in wartime.
The penalties for any troops failing to obey a lawful order, per these Democrats’ urging, are severe (up to two years confinement and dishonorable discharge for a general order).
The actions of these Democrats must also be seen in conjunction with other outrageous Democrat rhetoric and actions calling fed Nazis, fascists, and stormtroopers, inciting, what I have described, as the ongoing Democrat-led insurrection against federal authority and federal law enforcement in leftist blue cities nationwide.
It is all related.
Considering the status of several of these lawmakers as former military members, they could be returned to military service, and court martialed for mutiny and sedition. And maybe they should be.

Arrest them
If any of us got on national television and made statements like that we’d be immediately arrested.
Why is this site moderating posts?? I’m out of here.
Liberals always stretch the rules and interpretations for what they say and do. That is a major part of their playbook. They know that these theatrics will get everyones’ attention but also attempt to cover their butts in case they are confronted on it. The Conservative problem then becomes confrontation which increases and keeps the subject matter alive for a longer time. This time they have created major conversations and confusion, allowing their base to make their own decisions and plan their own actions. As already proven by the various assassinations and/or attempts along with their continuous provacative violent rhetoric, small campfires can quickly turn into massive bonfires. There is always someone who takes their exhortations literally and acts upon them. It only takes one person to cause a disaster. When the “suggested” action eventually occurs, libs will say that they had nothing to do with it — which of course is a bunch of BS!
