Los Angeles Police Department officers have arrested Rob Reiner’s son, Nick, for the stabbing deaths of the acclaimed filmmaker and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner. The couple was found with their throats slit in their Brentwood home on Sunday afternoon.
Nick is reportedly being held on $4 million bail.
President Donald Trump responded with a post on his social media platform, in which he attributed the apparent homicide to Reiner’s “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote.
The president went on to criticize Reiner, saying he “was know to have driven people crazy” with his fixation on Trump. He added that Reiner’s “paranoia” had reached “new heights” as the administration “surpassed all goals and expectations.”
“May Rob and Michele rest in peace!” he added.

I do wish that Trump could keep his comments about the death of a noted celebrity to a respectful tone. Bringing up “TDS” at a time like this is just boorish.
