“I am deeply saddened to share that my ex-wife, Dianne, has passed away,” Norris wrote. He reflected on their long relationship, noting that although their marriage ended, they remained close friends for decades afterward. “After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me,” he said.
Norris described Holecheck as “an incredible person,” praising her kindness, intelligence, and love of life. He also emphasized her devotion to their sons, Mike and Eric, whom he said were always her greatest pride. “Her presence in my life will never be forgotten,” Norris added.
The 85-year-old actor continued by reflecting on their enduring bond despite taking different paths later in life. “Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together,” he wrote.
Alongside the message, Norris shared a throwback black-and-white photograph featuring himself, Holecheck, and their children, underscoring the family’s shared history.
Norris and Holecheck met while attending high school in California and married in 1958, when Norris was 18, and Holecheck was 17. Their marriage lasted 30 years before they separated in 1988, finalizing their divorce the following year. Their sons, Mike and Eric, have both worked in the entertainment industry.
Norris did not disclose the circumstances surrounding Holecheck’s death. Following his announcement, fans flooded his social media page with messages of sympathy and support, offering condolences and honoring Holecheck’s life.
Best known for his roles in films and the television series Walker, Texas Ranger, Norris has frequently spoken about the importance of family throughout his career, a theme reflected in his tribute to Holecheck.
