The Arizona Supreme Court building was evacuated after authorities discovered a suspicious package in the court’s mailroom that tested positive for homemade explosives.
The building was cleared after staff alerted law enforcement, and all employees were sent home as a precaution.
Federal and local authorities responded to the scene. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Phoenix confirmed its presence at the site, stating on X that it is investigating a suspicious substance at the Arizona Supreme Court Building at 1501 W. Washington Street.
