Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly sharply criticized her previous network for what she described as uncritical “cheerleading” of President Donald Trump’s military operation against Venezuela that resulted in the capture of Nicolás Maduro.
Speaking on Monday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM, Kelly said Fox News’ coverage lacked skepticism and resembled state-sponsored messaging. “I turned on Fox News yesterday, and I’m sorry, but it was like watching Russian propaganda,” she said. “There was nothing skeptical. It was all rah-rah cheerleading.”
Kelly said she supports the American military and expressed general confidence in Trump’s leadership but cautioned against rushing to celebrate foreign interventions without careful consideration. Drawing on her experience as a former Fox News anchor, she said she had learned the risks of uncritical support.
“I’m going to stay on the yellow light for this,” Kelly said, explaining that she was neither fully endorsing nor outright condemning the operation until more information becomes available.
She acknowledged what she called the strongest strategic argument for the operation, citing concerns over foreign influence in Venezuela by countries such as Russia, China, and Cuba and the country’s oil resources. However, she rejected what she characterized as law-enforcement justifications and warned against repeating past mistakes associated with American interventions abroad.
Kelly pointed to previous conflicts in Iraq and Libya as examples of how removing foreign leaders has often led to prolonged instability. She argued that the United States has struggled to successfully guide or stabilize countries after toppling their leadership.
The former Fox News host also raised concerns about Trump’s comments regarding the possibility of deploying ground troops, questioning who would ultimately bear the cost of such decisions. She said the prospect of “boots on the ground” raised personal concerns for families with children who could one day serve in the military.
“So I think I speak for a lot of moms, and dads for that matter, when I say I’m staying in yellow territory until we know more,” Kelly said, adding that she would not join what she described as Fox News’ cheerleading coverage.
In addition, Kelly expressed unease about Trump’s increasing proximity to lawmakers she described as hawkish neoconservatives, specifically naming Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). She said the enthusiastic response from such figures heightened her concern about the direction of foreign policy.
“The fact that Lindsey Graham is standing next to him, going, ‘Yes! Yes!’ is enough for me to know I don’t want it,” Kelly said.
Kelly’s remarks reflect a growing debate within conservative media and political circles over military intervention, the journalistic responsibility in wartime coverage, and learning from previous foreign policy decisions.

Why I watch NewsMax Greg Kelly & Finnerty Best ever
..she’s an ego-tripper!
My instincts are good. I need to trust them more often. I never cared for her, Tucker Qatarlson, or Cantifa. Actually, it’s not instinct or intuition as a Christian; it’s the Holy Spirit and a thing called discernment. I never trusted any of the three, and now I’m finding out why. I can see the three of them ganging up on DJT alone with Marjorie Taylor Green; this is a left-wing operation. I watch OANN to get a conservative view and read the Word for a Biblical view.
This is the United States of America. I was born a long time ago but I still say our constitution gives us the right to speak out and Megyn’s opinion is just the American way. I don’ agree with many politicians and don’t blame them, only the folks who vote for them have to live with their decisions.
What a joke. A narcoterrorist who even former president Biden had a 200M bounty on his head. She just is bitter her FOX show flopped.
Also she is a supporter of TC the one making deals with enemy nations and getting paid by Qatar to spread propaganda. So FOX reports the
truth and these antisemite isolationists are angry – she needs to STFU along with TC and CO.
