Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has locked down a detention facility in Dilley, Texas, after a measles outbreak, CBS News reported Sunday. The facility is the same one that held 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father until their release on Saturday.
U.S. measles cases reached a three-decade high in December, with outbreaks reported across the country.
The detention of Ramos by ICE agents in Minnesota drew nationwide attention after images of the young boy wearing a blue bunny hat and carrying a Spider-Man backpack went viral and appeared on protest posters. Neighbors and school officials alleged that immigration agents used the child as “bait,” a claim the Department of Homeland Security rejected as an “abject lie.” (RELATED: Judge Orders Release Of Migrant Dad And Young Child After Photo Goes Viral)

Ramos and his father, Adrian Conejo Ramos, were held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, which houses children and families accused of immigration violations. They were released Saturday under a judge’s order and returned to Minnesota. Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) escorted them home and shared photos on social media thanking “everyone who demanded freedom for Liam.” (RELATED: JD Vance Debunks Viral Lie About ICE Detaining Child)
According to CBS News, ICE has halted “all movement” at the Dilley facility. Some detainees have been quarantined after medical staff identified “active measles infections” in two individuals, a finding confirmed by DHS in a statement Sunday.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said the measles cases were detected on Friday.
“ICE Health Services Corps immediately took steps to quarantine and control further spread and infection, ceasing all movement within the facility and quarantining all individuals suspected of making contact with the infected,” McLaughlin said in a statement provided to CBS News. She added that medical officials were monitoring the situation, “all detainees are being provided with proper medical care,” and officials were taking “appropriate and active steps to prevent further infection.”

This is why, right here. We wiped that disease out 50 years ago and Democrats brought it back in over four years of Biden’s open borders.
More dead Americans.
Thanks Schumer.
