Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer has resigned, according to multiple sources cited by NOTUS.

A formal complaint alleged that Chavez-DeRemer had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a subordinate on her security detail.
Investigations included claims that she drank on the job, used government resources for personal trips, and took staff to a strip club (Angels PDX) in Oregon in April 2025.
Top aides Jihun Han (chief of staff) and Rebecca Wright (deputy) were forced out in early March 2026. Following continued pressure and an expansion of the probe, Chavez-DeRemer’s position became untenable.
The White House previously stated that President Trump was aware of the investigation but “stood by” her before the scandal reached its peak
Chavez-DeRemer is the third official to exit Trump’s Cabinet, following Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem.
