Students for Life Spokeswoman Says Antifa Mob Harassed Her, Mocked Charlie Kirk Assassination

A spokeswoman for Students for Life says she was surrounded and harassed by a group of self-described Antifa activists outside Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit in San Antonio over the weekend, with some demonstrators openly mocking the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Lydia Taylor Davis, a Students for Life spokeswoman and pro-life activist, said the confrontation began when she approached a group of protesters gathered outside the convention center where the event was being held.

According to Davis, the protesters were targeting women entering and leaving the summit, prompting her to attempt what she described as a peaceful conversation.

“I went over with my microphone to start asking questions, to have peaceful dialogue,” Davis told Fox News Digital. “But it turns out that the left is incapable of peaceful dialogue.”

Video from the encounter shows a chaotic scene in which protesters shouted over Davis, repeatedly called her a Nazi and fascist, blasted a siren near her face and hurled insults. One individual can also be seen repeatedly coughing in her direction while another appears to throw water at her.

At one point, protesters chanted, “Oink, oink, piggy piggy, we don’t want you in our city.”

Davis said the most disturbing aspect of the demonstration was what she described as open celebration of Charlie Kirk’s killing.

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in September 2025. His murder sent shockwaves throughout the world and renewed debates over political violence in America.

“People mocked the death of Charlie Kirk,” she said. “One Antifa protester dressed himself or herself as Charlie Kirk with a mask and everything and mocked his death by impersonating it.”

Video from the confrontation appears to show an individual wearing a face covering resembling Kirk while standing near Davis. When asked about political violence, the individual responded: “I support assassinating fascists.”

The protester declined to further define what they meant by the term.

Another demonstrator was heard shouting an obscenity directed at Kirk from only inches away from Davis.

The incident comes amid heightened concerns about political extremism and escalating tensions. While confrontations between protesters and political organizations are not uncommon, many argue that openly celebrating the assassination of a political opponent crosses a dangerous line.

To many conservatives, the rhetoric on display outside the event reflected a broader trend in which political opponents are increasingly portrayed not simply as wrong, but as morally illegitimate or even deserving of violence. They argue that labeling mainstream conservative figures as fascists can create an environment where political violence becomes easier for some activists to justify.

Davis echoed that concern, arguing that the protesters’ actions contradicted their accusations against her.

“It is ironic that they were calling me a fascist while celebrating someone who was assassinated for having free speech, for sharing his opinions,” she said. “That is fascism.”

The Students for Life spokeswoman said she was not surprised by the protesters’ behavior but found the mocking of Kirk’s death especially painful because of his role in the conservative and pro-life movements.

“He was a great partner of us in the pro-life movement,” Davis said. “It was devastating.”

The incident also highlights growing security concerns among conservative activists and public figures. Davis said she now regularly travels with security and wears a bulletproof vest at public events due to safety concerns.

“Whether it’s getting involved with Turning Point or Students for Life of America, everyone should be getting involved,” she said. “I think the violence of the left shows how urgent this is.”

Despite the confrontation, Davis said the experience reinforced her commitment to activism and public engagement.

She argued that incidents like the one in San Antonio ultimately reveal a stark contrast between competing political approaches.

“I think it just goes to show that we are the winning side, that we don’t have to use those violent, angry tactics,” she said.
