Ex-Clinton Adviser Sounds the Alarm on Potential Hillary Campaign

Is Hillary Clinton gearing up for another attempt at the office that has alluded her for years? Some say the signs are there and now it’s simply a waiting game.

According to veteran political expert Dick Morris, Clinton is attempting to position herself as a “moderate” candidate and will likely swoop in after the Democrats’ losses this November.

Morris, who served as an aide to former President Bill Clinton, called out Hillary’s recent comment that “Americans do not believe in open borders” as evidence for his claims, according to The New York Post.

“These are all signals that she is going to be the moderate candidate for president. She’s going to say after the election, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. If we stay with a left-wing candidate in 2024, we’re going to lose the White House. I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory​,​’​” Morris said on his WABC 770 AM radio show.

Morris said he’s seen Hillary’s tactic firsthand when he helped her husband secure the Democrat nomination in 1992.

“​Hillary is just dusting off Bill‘s playbook that I wrote for him and applying it herself this year,” he said. 

Recently, Hillary discussed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis‘ controversial move to transport 50 migrants to liberal elite hotspot Martha’s Vineyard last month.

“So many other Americans — I happen to believe still the majority of Americans — are good-hearted and generous and when people end up on their doorstep in need, they’re going to respond. They’ll feed them and house them and the kids in the AP Spanish class will be let out of high school so they can go and translate. That’s the kind of American spirit that we try to celebrate at the Clinton Global Initiative,” she said on MSNBC adding “nobody wants open borders who has any idea of how government and countries work.”​

The veteran campaign expert also noted that there has been a distinct uptick in chatter surrounding rumors President Biden may ultimately opt out of running for a second term and Democrat officials have begun searching for a viable second option.

There have already been a number of lawmakers that have indicated their interest in running for the office if Biden pulls out. (RELATED: Gavin Newsom Will ‘Unequivocally’ Run for President in 2024)

“Once Biden pulls out, the polling will show that the Democrats are leaning toward some crazy radical like [California Gov.] Gavin Newson, [Vermont Sen.] Bernie Sanders. Maybe even AOC herself,” Morris ​said, referring to progressive lightning rod Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. 

​“That’s going to drive the Democratic Party leaders to go to Hillary and say, ‘Hey look. Please run again. We need you to save us from the crazy left,’” ​Morris said.

However, despite Morris’ speculation Clinton is planning to run for president in the next election Hillary has repeatedly denied the rumors. (RELATED: Hillary Clinton Won’t Run For President In 2024)
