The tried and true Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle received a major update at the end of summer 2022 with the introduction of the new Remington Model 700 Alpha 1 rifle. The initial factory model offering from Remington has just been confirmed to be paired with a custom AG Composites charcoal gray stock.
AG Composites to Provide Stocks for New Remington Model 700 Alpha 1

(Nov. 2, 2022) — AG Composites, a veteran-owned manufacturer that uses modern design software to create Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and the industry’s premium composite rifle stocks, is proud to announce they have been selected to provide the stocks for the cutting-edge Remington Model 700 Alpha 1 bolt-action rifle.
When America’s oldest arms maker recently reinvented itself after bankruptcy under new ownership, it was freed from many of its subsidiary brands, including ammunition, accessories, and other firearm brands. Although the new Remington 700 Alpha 1 bolt-action rifle will work with stocks meant for older models of Remington 700 rifles, the stock itself will have to be modified to accommodate the longer internal magazine well that the Alpha 1 rifle features. This new stock and rifle combo will initially only be offered in charcoal grey, however, other color variations should become available as the rifle starts to work its way into normal circulation.
