The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has made its move.
According to a new report, DA Alvin Bragg (D) will indict former President Donald Trump on Wednesday – a first in U.S. history.
Secret Service will make plans for his surrender and court appearance the following week.

According to the source, the former president, who is currently located in Florida, is expected to be formally charged tomorrow, after which the office of the Manhattan District Attorney will contact Trump and his Secret Service detail to make arrangements for his surrender.

After that, he will reportedly board a plane and head to New York, where he will appear in court, have his fingerprints taken, and be photographed for his mugshot.
The indictment is expected to center on Trump’s role in ordering hush money payments to “catch and kill” a politically damaging story about an extramarital affair between porn star Stormy Daniels and the Republican presidential nominee in the closing days of the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump adamantly denies the charges and having an affair.
Paying for someone’s silence isn’t illegal. But the failure to properly report the $130,000 payment violated federal campaign finance laws. Former Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen arranged it after Daniels signed a nondisclosure agreement.
Cohen maintains his overtures to Daniels came at the behest of his then-boss. Trump’s campaign recorded the payment as a legal expense and reimbursed Cohen through a series of invoices he submitted throughout 2017 as part of a supposed “retainer agreement.” Trump hand-signed Cohen’s checks from the White House.
Bragg says the payment was a campaign donation, arguing there never was a retainer agreement. It’s not yet known, but some predict the indictment will state that the documentation violates New York Penal Law 175.10, falsifying business records in the first degree – a class E felony.
Cohen pled guilty in 2018 to criminal tax evasion, making false statements and paying Daniels and another woman for their silence.
Recent debate has focused on the strength of Bragg’s case.
While Bragg remains tight-lipped about strategy, his office has successfully prosecuted the Trump Organization and its former chief financial officer.
