ANALYSIS – You’re a ‘hater’ – in a stunning, yet not surprising development, California’s Democrat governor, Gavin Newsom (aided by his politically active wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom) has launched a state hotline to report alleged ‘hate’ against someone’s “actual or perceived” identity.
The insane leftist effort, ‘CA vs. Hate,’ was originally launched in 2021 as a response to alleged anti-Asian violence.
At the time it mandated the state create an online reporting system for “victims and witnesses to report a hate incident against any group in a safe, anonymous manner, particularly those who may face language or cultural barriers or are undocumented.”
‘Hate’ being a malleable and highly subjective term.
And now it’s being reshaped to focus on anyone who calls themselves trans.
It is supposed to be focused on helping the alleged victims, but in practice it means that almost anyone can rat out anyone anonymously for even questioning the radical transgender agenda.
And the results could be devastating to everyone but especially Christian conservatives.
If you don’t accept and enable everyone’s self-defined gender or lack thereof, you could be labeled a ‘hater.’
While no sanctions have been announced for being called a hater – yet, the fear is that this could devolve into a list for later civil and even criminal prosecution.
It could definitely cost you your job in California.
According to the Free Beacon, Julie Hamill, a Los Angeles attorney, called the hotline “insane” and warned about its implications for our civil rights. She said:
I think best case, this is a political stunt to show they’re ‘doing something and they care,’ and nothing will come of this waste of taxpayer dollars. Anything more than that is too horrifying to imagine.
Are we going to get knocks on our door from the California Department of Civil Rights because of a mean tweet? Is this going to be a place for students to report teachers and professors who don’t toe the party line on thorny political issues?
I think the answer is clear. Of course, it means that we are going to be persecuted for our moral and religious beliefs regarding the transgender agenda.
Just as we were for opposing the false COVID-19 narrative or the unconstitutional vaccine mandates.
It is also a continuation of the Orwellian scheme that has social media companies report “hate speech,” “disinformation” and other content to the government, which I have described here.
And as before, it is all very subjective and fuzzy.
Team Newsom defines a hate act vaguely as “a hostile expression or action that may be motivated by bias against another person’s actual or perceived identity.”
According to the website, this can include name-calling, ‘bullying’ and using circular reasoning – ‘hate’ mail.
It also includes anyone refusing anyone service, based on the state’s criteria.
And if you think these concerns are farfetched, meet Jessica Tapia, a physical education teacher in Southern California. She is also a Christian and has an Instagram account.
What happened to Tapia? As the Free Beacon reports, she was fired by the Jurupa Unified School District for her social media posts.
Did she post inappropriate nude or bikini selfies, or make threats against anyone? No. She simply stated the scientific fact that people cannot change their biological sex.
She also refused to lie to parents about their children’s gender identity.
Tapia is now suing the school district for forcing her to abandon “her religious beliefs to maintain public employment” and punishing her constitutionally protected speech in a “discriminatory manner.”
She intends to take her case all the way to the Supreme Court. And the law is on her side.
But she isn’t the only one being persecuted for her beliefs, which coincidentally, in this case are also backed by science.
Just days earlier, two other Southern California teachers similarly sued their school district over a despicable requirement that they hide students’ transgender identities from their parents.
As the Free Beacon reports:
The pair of cases have set California’s nation-leading integration of radical gender ideology in education on a legal collision course with federally guaranteed religious rights. If the teachers win, it could deal a serious blow to the progressive educational agenda. If they lose, it could permanently force religious educators out of the public school system.

Beyond that, the left owns the courts in California.
Soon the “left” will be all that is “Left” in California. Their agenda is insane, and driving taxpayers out of the state, to be replaced by low skilled illegal aliens, who they know will take care of their houses and yards for low wages. That will guarantee no responsible government will ever again be elected in California, which is all they care about!

These teachers fired for their Christian beliefs should and must win their lawsuits. They were speaking the truth in love. The Progressive (regressive in my mind) school districts are the bigots because of their anti-Christian biases. If you hold Christian and/or conservative viewpoints you are wrongfully branded haters if you express them. I think what the left is doing is a sign that the end times are near. They call bad good and good bad which the Scriptures say will be prevalent in the last days.
