California Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff, who falsely claimed to have evidence former President Donald Trump engaged in “Russian collusion,” could not only be expelled from the U.S. House but may also face a $16 million fine under a pair of resolutions now before Congress.
Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a pair of resolutions, H. Res 412 and H. Res. 437, that would censure and expel Schiff and fine him $16 million.
H. Res. 412, filed May 17, would expel Schiff from Congress, after a federally-appointed special prosecutor concluded that FBI and Democrat campaign officials falsified the claims of “Russian collusion” and Schiff's claimed evidence never existed.
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives,” said Luna.
“The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” Luda added.
Luna followed on May 23 with H. Res. 437, which would censure and also fine Schiff $16 million for knowingly making false and damaging statements.
“It is the obligation of House Leadership to back up this motion for the American people and hold this feckless man accountable,” said Luna.
“This is a privileged resolution and it is the right thing for House Leadership to support and bring accountability and respect back to the House of Representatives. ALL Members of Congress must be held to this standard,” said Luna.
“Accordingly, the resolution requires Rep. Schiff to pay a $16 million dollar fine, half of the cost American taxpayers were forced to pay for the Russia hoax investigation,” Luna concluded. “I, alongside my Republican colleagues, look forward to an imminent vote coming to the floor to hold Rep. Schiff accountable.”
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has not commented on the resolutions and has not scheduled a vote.
The U.S. Constitution allows Congress to “determine the Rules of its proceedings, punish its members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two-thirds, expel a member.”
Only five members of the U.S. House have ever been expelled, the most recent being Ohio Democrat James Traficant in 2002 and Pennsylvania Democrat Michael Myers in 1980 after their respective convictions on corruption charges. Prior to that, two members of Congress from Missouri and one from Kentucky were expelled in 1861 for supporting the Confederacy.

It is only fair that Adam Schiff be expelled for his outright lies that influenced elections and cost the American Public to spend those millions on showing the evidence that he lied and that he knowingly lied. Are nor Congressmen supposed to be truthful? Look at what they are trying to do to George Santos for his obvious lying.
Today’s Democrat Party is beyond corrupt. ALL of those who had a part in the Russia hoax must be held accountable with expulsion from Congress, fines and, hopefully, jail sentences. And Shiff was the worst of them.
I’ll believe it when it happens, the dems seem to skate free on all their lies, misinformation and are continually not held accountable by msm and rinos. IMO
