There is an old trick in argument, and it works by choosing the finish line before the race is run. You define victory as something your opponent was never trying to do, you note that he did not do it, and you call his failure to do it your triumph. This is the move at the heart of “Iran’s New Grand Strategy,” the Foreign Affairs essay published on June 3 by Narges Bajoghli and Vali Nasr. The authors observe that the Islamic Republic did not collapse under U.S. and Israeli bombardment, that no.

An accounting mistake reportedly led the Pentagon to overestimate the value of weapons and equipment it has sent to Ukraine by $6.2 billion dollars over the last two years.

According to Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh, an internal review uncovered that the military had used the estimated cost to replace the transferred equipment instead of the value recorded in the Pentagon’s books.

That discrepancy resulted in a $3.6 billion shortfall this fiscal year, and a $2.6 billion shortfall in fiscal year 2022.

“It’s just going to go back into the pot of money that we have allocated for the future Pentagon stock drawdowns,” Singh said.

Since that money has already been allocated by Congress, the Pentagon has the authority to make up the difference without further appropriations.

Over the course of the war, the U.S. has approved $113 billion in aid for Ukraine and $40 billion in military aid.

The latest round of aid, which was approved by Congress in December, allotted nearly $45 billion for Ukraine and NATO allies and was meant to last through the end of this fiscal year, according to The Daily Wire.

The new error estimate is also far higher than the Pentagon previously reported. The Wall Street Journal first found in May that the DOD overcounted the value of security assistance sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion.

A lot of the arms that we have given to Ukraine have come from our storage warehouses of BRADLEY’s, as well as the thousands of Abrams tanks in storage. Also we have A-10 WARTHOGS, as well as many many F-16’S and attack helicopters. I am sure that we have older cruise missiles also in storage. All of this is costing our government billions to store and it is gravely needed in Ukraine as they are fighting for their lives So why don’t we get real and save ourselves the storage charges and get this unused and stored gear to Ukraine, post haste?

COME ON GUYS! GO FOR IT!

You must be a Democrat and Biden supporter. You know it was not a mistake, and even if that money was mistakenly sent to Ukraine the people who need it most never got it. The neo Nazi Ukrainian leader can’t be trusted and is friends with our corrupt government leaders, we all know who they are. I assume that money went to support Ukraine’s biowepons plans.

We are simply fighting a proxy war with Ukraine against the Russians. It’s a stupid waste of money on a corrupt country where the pols continue taking a cut off the top of the contributions. Sad.
